Has anyone here tried this unit yet, http://www.livernoismotorsports.com/...-TrueTrac.html. Looks like one of my next mods.

Never tried it but I have a powertrax locker in my truck. It works great but it will effect handling in the corners a bit. The locker unlocks in a tight turn but on more gradual ones it stays locked up so the tires will wear a bit more on the insides as it drags a bit, but if your aim is to run at the drag then you can't go wrong. The eaton seems to lie somewhere in between mine and a standard limited slip. Seems pretty interesting.

From what I read this should be the answer for the T2 Torsen limited slip diff in the Boss 302. This unit also gives you grip and power to both wheels even during turning with the outer wheel rotating faster than the inner wheel.

Thanks

So the eaton is in and we are past the break in time now...I am not sure if I like it...it will do for now until something better comes along. The car hiccups now, bucks when u decelerate. When you turn, it sometimes makes the car hop...going to go for a more aggressive testing run soon and explain my thoughts more.

I'm thinking allot of the issues with the 9" kits we have been selling have been with the Eaton, the GTO guys are also having trouble with the Eaton from the design to the dimension that holds the axle not being right. Last week i sent a factory diff to Autotech/Wavetrac so they can make one for the car.

Ted is also now using this in addition to his posi mod. I've had his very first posi mod in my car since 2010 and have had ZERO issues. I beat the shit out off my car and have over 300 passes on it. When I asked Ted if we should throw the Eaton in, he looked at me as if I had 3 heads and said why. My cars rear has been perfect. No reason to mess with it.

Well if this is the case then why doesn't he just stick to his setup and not use this. I know the T2 limited slip diff on the Stang works well but this option on the Gen 5 Camaro has issues that makes me not want it.

It's just another option. At really high rwhp levels or on M6 cars this may be a better alternative . That's a question Ted needs to answer. I just know a while back it had become an option.

I just drives like crap when cruising in it, its clunky, and the car hops when cornering, I just dont like how it feels. However when I launch the car on the street, it feels ok, just normal driving sucks and I wouldnt recommend it to anyone. I havent taken it to the track yet and beat it but I am not happy with it and how the car feels with it. Oh and also, when you are decelerating, it clunks really bad and bucks the car pretty good....ugh

I had over 300 passes on my old rear end with no problem too so I thought nothing of it either, until I went to Indy and grenaded the whole thing on the track....and the cost of a new posi with the posi mod is around the same if not a little bit more than the cost of this eaton, I was told I would be stupid if I didnt put this eaton in instead...so I did...

Actually this kid who works at the dealership told me that this unit would do exactly that and not to get it especially hopping on turns. TED get your POSI ready I want 1.

I just plan on waiting until my rear explodes and use it as justification to the wife that I need a 9". When you do everything in the rear like axles, billet caps, driveshaft, gears, and clutch pack you're almost at the cost of the 9" with none of the overall strength so why bother?

For an auto under 650hp I would probably mod the rear, for an M6 and high hp or serious abuse you need a 9".

i have an m6 with around 835 rwhp 840 rwtq and i love my dss 9" 33 spline wavetrac.. it is so quite and can hold all i throw at it ... there is no gear wine at all.. This has been one of the best mods i have done to my camaro.. ITs not cheap but you get what u pay for, and i am very very happy with my unit!!! I would reccomend this to anyone considering a 9" setup!!
Thanks Frank for your continued support and great products!
