There is absolutely NO drone. My setup so far is simply a rotofab and ark exhaust. You can talk or have a phone conversation with absolutely no interference from the exhaust...regardless of speed.

I'm kicking around either the ARK II or their ARK DT-S. The DTS looks to be more aimed at drone free, but I really like the sound of the II. For a person really picky about highway drone, still think the ARK II would be a good choice? Thanks for any opinions! |

Hey RJ, my daily commute is at those speeds and is going up and down grades all the way. You can hear the exhaust under load going up hill but the sound is out back and sounds good. No annoying drone inside the cabin. Barely louder than stock on the flat in sixth gear. You hear it the most going though the gears and at WOT. I wouldn't do the DT-S on the LS3. I think it would be too quiet and it has the 2.5in pipes. As you can see in my video the water and unburned gas spit out at idle, hence the exhaust velocity is fast thoughout the pipes which equals less back pressure. The ARK II is 2.75in which is larger than stock but not too big as to let the exhaust slow inside the pipes and create back pressure. If I was supercharging I might go with a 3in system. Bigger is'nt always better unless you can keep up the exhaust gas velocity. This is why so many of the 3in systems need a J pipe to get rid of the drone.
