+1 on the wheels. As for the hood and spoiler it's what ever moves you. It's different and it's you. (Your signature sort of speak)

Agree 100%. Let's hope these cars are just test mules.

If you haven't heard it already, get ready for the excuse about cost. It costs GM too much to produce stripes that are detailed like the hash mark stripes would be. It's the same reason the rally stripes don't extend past the mail slot. When the question was asked about the stripes being cut short it was told to us that it is hard to deliver stripes like that to the customer perfectly and that a lot of stripes would be thrown away at the factory. I wish the 1LE was exactly like the concept down to the 6 piston brakes and mag ride like everybody else. The truth is that GM is offering a pretty impressive performance upgrade at an affordable price. A 1LE built just like the concept could end up being 5 grand more and out of my range. I can add the hash marks and side skirts later if I feel like it.

My thoughts exactly! Give me the wheels and performance parts. I can take care of the looks for a lot less than the factory would charge. And, they only show it in red. On black or AGM, the spoiler and hood are far less noticeable. Almost sleeper like.

Same. I'm willing to overlook the cosmetic stuff (which is really, really cheap to do, compared to a new suspension, new differential, wider wheels and new tires) as long as the performance side is up to spec. And cosmetic stuff doesn't implicate any warranty issues. It would be a much much bigger letdown if the 1LE didn't come with say, 3.91 gears.

Not bad, but I do agree with the hood and spoiler.

What the 1LE is all about is getting the good stuff to go road racing. Not the fluff. Think of it as a blank canvas. Add some long tubes, air intake, and bushing inserts and you will have a track animal. Then customize the exterior to your liking. These should not be garage queens.

The 1LE is more than a trim package. If you are buying it for the trim you are looking at the wrong car. But I have to admit, the show car sure looked sweet in red. It will be easy to replicate that look if that is what you want.

It sure would be nice to have a 1LE section.

Keep it affordable. Mod later.

Glad to see these pics...it answered the question on whether I should wait for the 1LE or not. NOT. Do not like it at all.
Not into black wheels of any kind and the hood and spoiler look awful.

I just noticed something. If you look at the 6th picture, there appears to be a a Crystal Red Camaro to the side of the 1LE with different wheels on it. Do you think those are possibly the 2013 wheels or are they just aftermarket on a car that somebody owns?

I wonder if part of the reason the V6's weren't included was because the fueling issue. I noted that they added the ZL1 fuel pump, and for FI V6's, one of the problems at high pressures is fuel delivery. If we had a pump that could deliver the volume and pressures we needed for the magnificent DI engine, then we'd be seeing some very impressive numbers from the little 6.

Oh well, I guess I'll just wait and see how long before the suspension folks start putting together "FE4" conversion kits so I can at least improve my suspension...

Those are the new 2013 wheels. I ordered a '13 and have been waiting on official pictures of the new wheel on the car. So far I like the way they look.

Those look like the new rims! Kind of cool but until I see it more I might like the old 20's, but from that pic they still look nice!

I like the car a lot but the paint scheme in the concept with just adding the two stripes across the fender and onto the hood made it look more intentional and not like a cheap unpainted hood.
I would've also like to have seen the ssx front splitter on it.

The one Fbodfather brought to G16 is identical to the release photos.

Still cool though.
No - the one I had at G-16 is the original show car.

The production 1LE will not have the hash-marks and 'cut-ins' on the hood -- simply because of the difficulty in alignment -- if it isn't perfect we are not happy - and thus, they did not make it for a production model.

God... The concept looks a lot better than that one. That one, like everyone else said looks unfinished. The black hood and black spoiler would look ok if they were the same black. The hood looks matte and the spoiler is shiny. The lack of the splitter and side skirts make the other black parts look shattered and out of place. If that is the new LE, I would just get an SS and mod it a bit and call it a day. A car can be as badass as it gets, but if it looks funny...

Question: Is the spoiler for the 1LE going to be the same as the ZL1 or the SS? I know it was the ZL1 spoiler in the concept (and I know a lot has changed in the car since the concept) but the pictures here and the artist's rendering both have the the SS spoiler...was really hoping that would be included with this package but it's looking like I'll have to go and buy that myself
