Adams Brilliant Glaze and Americana Wax review

Received these on Friday from GPC and was very anxious to try. So Friday after work I did a wash, clay and sealant to prepare for Saturday.
Work up 6am Saturday to start the process, could not wait!

1st step was a once around with detail spray to get off any additional sealant and small dust particles from my garage off.

2nd step was to apply the glaze. This stuff has the consistence of water and goes on and comes off very easy, you DO NOT need a lot of this as it goes a long way. I did the whole car and can honestly say I did not notice a big difference in shine; this could have been because I had just put on a fresh coat of sealant, but I just did not see a big benefit to this on a freshly washed and sealed car. I will say this stuff smells great and made my garage smell great too!

3rd step the Americana paste wax. I was very scared to use a hard (paste?) wax as I never had in the past because I always thought it was a harder process then a liquid wax. I COULD NOT be more wrong! The wax goes on very easy and given the way it's applied on the applicator it’s hard to overuse like a liquid wax. I did 2 panels at a time in the shade as recommended by Dylan. By the time I was finishing up the 2nd panel it was pretty much hazed over and ready for removal. Removal could not be simpler, just wipe away but it you miss a spot or 2 like I did, removing later is more of a challenge. Anyway I finished up the whole car in about an hour, it really was effortless.

Result:
Astounding! The shine given by the Americana is unbelievable; I could not get over the pop. Not sure if this was just the wax or a combo of the wax/glaze but I was truly impressed. Even when my wife came out and looked at the car she said it looks like a mirror, the shiniest she has ever seen. As for durability, obviously I cannot comment on that yet, but I’d expect it to be better than the buttery wax I’ve been using in the past.

Going forward I can say I will only use liquid wax in a pinch but my main wax will always be a hard/paste from now on.

I HIGHLY recommened this combo!!

nyrfan, now that its been a day....you should lightly spray with detail spray to get any dust off the car and then using a plash MF town, buff the finish again......the Americana will harden a bit after 24 hrs and will get even WETTER. this is per the Adam's instructions.....but I too have done this process, the the first time I did it....I was truely amazed.....I'll never use anything else.

Nice review. I agree with you, I've always liked Americana and the glaze does give it just a little bit extra pop.

Everything we sell comes with a 110% money back satisfaction guarantee, so if you opt to try it out and are anything less than pleased simply contact us for a full refund + 10% of the purchase price.

Also, with the recent introduction of our smaller Americana we're going to have a kit soon that will be lower cost with the small tub and mini applicators to check out.

Maybe you could go to an Adam's distributor near you and try it out. If you're in Orlando, look up XQIZT Automotive.

Awesome review, thanks for the kind words!

A premium paste is something that once you try, you'll have a hard time using anything else. That last step is somewhat therapeutic and you really can't beat the deep, warm, glow it gives the paint.

Sorry, was looking at someone else's profile. You can use the Adam's dealer search page http://www.adamspolishes.com/t-dealer_search.aspx

just bought this same combo, cant wait to try it. Is there are reason why you used the glaze first? I thought that goes on after the wax.

Glaze goes after any sealant you use and before the wax. Although I think you can apply glaze over wax at anytime to freshen up the shine.

Did you use the Quick Sealant or the Machine Super Sealant?
