service airbag???

Had my blue neon lights swopped out for some new LED's. But when I started my car it said service airbag. Do u guys know what could of caused that and what do I need to do to fix it? I had em install a switch that operates the LED's under the steering wheel in the top of the footwell area out of plain sight. He also mounted one of my amps in the trunk on the drivers side...maybe he screwed into a wire or something, but of course he said he didn't do anything for that to happen. Now im driving around with my airbag light on I'll post pics in a min...any help would be appreciated

You might try disconecting the battery for 15 minutes or so. I had this error a couple years ago and that did the trick. Who knows maybe you bumped a sensor or connection.

For general safety I always disconnect the batt and wait a few minutes before removing interior panels or wiring. It would not be fun to have an airbag go off in your face.
