But my salesman can't find the car on the lot.

Last Friday, GMconnects emailed me and gave me a status of 5000 and that the car had been delivered to the dealer.

Waited to around mid day and called my sales guy and he was already prowling the lot looking for it.

Called me back about an hour later and said the car was not on the lot but it may still be in transit from a local distribution point.

Gave it the weekend and called again yesterday afternoon, the car still has not shown up. Anyone else have this happen? I'm basically dying to get behind the wheel of the car and the wait is killing me. Salesman said that even though GM said it shows delivered to the dealer, the car may still be at a central distributing point nearby.

Does the dealership have more than one franchise? Does the family that owns your dealership also own another?

There have been many cases where this was the reason for the discrepency - the vehicle had been delivered to either the other dealership or the dealerships holding compound which was off site.

As far as I know and tell they only have one dealership in Shreveport. I don't see any other locations listed in the state or within the town on their website.

Hopefully my guy calls me today with good news. Other than the wait my service has been top notch with this particular dealership.

Figured since I've been waiting about 10 years to have the chance to buy a new one, guess a few more days won't hurt right?

Stake out the lot at lunchtime! If you see them leave in it, you know it is there.

Trust me if the dealer wasn't two hours away I'd stalk the lot every day

If it comes in the next couple of days, it will work out as I have some work to do in the Shreveport area and I can have one of my guys drop me off at the lot to pick up the car.

Sometimes it will show status 5000 before it actually arrives at the dealer. I have seen this with our cars before. I think it happens when the transport picks the vehicle up. However, it can take them a little while to get to the dealership since they make other stops to drop off other cars they are hauling.

I got my 5000 notification and was down at the dealer, and found my car before the salesman did.

Dealer had my car before chevy said they did... Hell i had my car while chevy said it was in transport.
