Question Bowtie Double Sided Tape

I debadged the rear bowtie so i could paint it. I took off the old stock tape so I can put 3M double sided automotive tape on it...I stuck it back on after I painted it and there is a little gap between the bowtie and the car body, doesnt look like the tape is strong enough. Can you guys give me suggestions on a better tape? Thanks!

stt816, I don't know which tale you used.....as 3M makes different types, but they make one that is made specifically for this application. and you can find it at most auto parts stores. its labled as MOLDING TAPE. that is what you need to use.
