How many channels is the 9-speaker boston acoustics?

How many channels is the 9-speaker boston acoustics? is it 5.1 surround?

any1 has pointers to how i can get music in surround sound format?

It is 4 channels out of the head unit, left and right front and rear. Out of the amp it combines the front signals to make the center speaker, so you have 5 speakers up front. The rear is different for the coupe and convertible. Coupe uses two tweeters, and two woofers per channel to give you nine speakers total. The vert uses two speakers and one dual voice coil sub to get its nine speakers (they count each voice coil as a speaker). The whole nine speaker thing is kind of miss leading, in actuality it is only stereo left and right.

you would need a DSP(digital signal processor) to create a 5.1 sound.
