Has anyone in SoCal swapped rear end gears?

Im considering going to a 3.91 or 4.11 rear end gear. Have any of you guys done it? Where did you have it done? How do you like it?
Thanks!
Matt

I thought you were using an analogy for something more likely to be found in San Fran...

Hey Matt, did Unitrax quote you a price for the gears and installation?

Yes they did. Im looking at about $1300 to $1500 depending on whether or not they replace the bearings.

Unitrax is the best kept secret on OC......they are the best!
They've worked on my vettes and my trucks. I wish they did more than than diffs but they are very disciplined about their area of expertise.

Their prices are very reasonable, given the quality. And the turnaround was 1 day.

That quote sounds solid. My shop quoted 7-8 hours so around $700 including fluids and I bought the LPE 3.91s and install kit/bearings which was a grand. The 4.11s are a tad cheaper so the math matches.

Sounds pretty reasonable. Any chance they will recalibrate the spedometer also?

I don't know. I have a JRE tune via Diablo Predator. I think I can change it myself with the Predator or I could just have Ted update the tune.
