Trunk Mat cleaning

I have the optional Camaro trunk mat in my car and wanted to know what you guys were doing to clean it? Anything special?

I'm not familiar with it... is it carpet, rubber, cloth? Pics?

I think they are talking about the Rubber Camaro mat....and I bet the Super VRT Tire & Trim Dressing OR Adam's Leather & Interior Conditioner would work good....I haven't had to clean mine yet...but I was thinking these when I needed to....Neither would make it slick.....this thing is real tacky to keep stuff from sliding around.

I hose mine down, spray an all purpose cleaner on it and scrub with a brush then rinse. Don't overthink it.

Yep... CD07 has it... pretty much remove. Hose, spray with APC, scrub with a brush, rinse, and then towel dry. I let stuff like that sit out in the sun while I do the rest of the detail too so it dries completely and softens it up a little.

Sometimes liners are a little stiff and don't lay perfectly flat after awhile so letting the sun warm it up relaxes the material a bit.

I don't bother dressing as it can make them a little slippery... maybe if you intend to have the trunk open for a show or something use some diluted Super VRT, but otherwise I'd leave it alone so it doesn't let stuff slide around your trunk too much.

I know the cargo mat that came in my 2002 Avalanche after a few years started getting just a little dull look to it.....nothing bad but it needed a little something to get it back looking like new (darker)....I'm figuring the Camaro one will do the same because it feels like it's made of the same thing.

Is that when you'd try the diluted Super VRT ?
