Opinions on Stereo Choice?

well Not upgrading the Camaro System yet, cuz I'm going to pull over a grand on that system, but looking for something for my Civic
well i stumbled on to this Stereo
JVC KWAV50 Double Din
it is under $300 brand new with warranty and the key concept is the face is detachable, because there has been many thefts in my area, I need something detachable so I can take it inside from the rats
whats your intake on this system if any at all?
it will be connected with a 12'' Kicker L7 and 1300 DB drive amp
ur knowledge is appreciated

I would do the Pioneer 8400 if you want a detachable face

but its double the price.

just googled it, pretty expensive
I just want something nice in the civic as it is my DD, so anything pioneer with detachable face is perfect because it is clearly my favorite brand.
I found a pioneer in the same price range but not detachable, and its a pretty big factor just because of the rise in stereo robberies :/
but that looks like a great system for my camaro

If you want detachable face around a $300 price point, then the JVC you are considering will about be your only option. It's a good unit, but I too prefer the Pioneer AVH-P8400BH. Awesome user interface, large detachable screen, Bluetooth, and more. I'd save up a little longer and get it if you could! You will find info on both below:

Now y'all got me interested. Does the iPod connect thru the back and can't it extent to the glove box?
Or do I need to purchase separate?

There is a 5-foot USB extension in the box that will connect to the back of the unit. You can route this over to your glovebox. Then you simply use the cable that came with your iPod/iPhone to plug into the USB there for audio content. If you want to access video content or apps, you will need to buy an additional cable.

Def not a bad deal on the JVC, especially since its for your second car. You can always save the money for the nicer stereo for your Camaro!
