Sacramento Valley Camaros car club forming

Hey everybody,

I am starting a new Camaro club called the Sacramento Valley Camaros.

I am not new to Camaros or car clubs but have been kinda laying low in the Capital City Camaros car club for the last year or so. I know there are a lot of Camaro Crazy's in the valley looking for a home and want to offer them a spot.

Our challenge is proximity. Things are kinda spread out so we need to be mindful of that by varying event locations and give lots of advance notice of planned events. I also think it is imperative events are coordinated based upon group input.

The emphasis of this club will be Regularly scheduled events. Fun outings that may or may not emphasize the Camaros, Cruises, Poker Runs, overnight trips to fun locations, drive-ins (Diners not movie screen) for fun nights, and the occassional charity event.

This club should be structured with a membership criteria (to be determined), will have an Executive Board and planning commssion.
While I am sure it will take a while to get the tires smoking, I look forward to the challenge and accept any and all suggestions and or help.

Show me your enthusiasm.

Is this group going to be full of gearheads that ignore V6'ers?

As Kyle indicated, this club will be all about the Camaro and those who own it. We want to get out, drive our cars and have fun doing it. Doesnt matter to me if it is a V-8, V-6 or sewing machine motor. I make my car look and drive like i want to, you should do the same. What I enjoy is the interaction and common ground we share. NO wannabe Camaros (Firebirds) allowedBut every camaro on the face of the earth is welcome to become a member of this group

Thanks for responding SS. Ill keep my eyes on this to see how it develops. I know another V6 convertible owner thats interested in joining a group too but is not into the v6 versus v8 propaganda.

Need to come up with a location and time for a meeting....Preferably a sunday during the afternoon or Monday evening so Green popsicle car can be there.....We have business to be discussing....Everybody chime in please...What is good? Obviously this Sunday is not in that it is fathers day but how about Monday evening? or the next Sunday?

I like next Sunday, it's hard for me some nights due to work. So I'm down for sunday. As far as a place to meet, well let's try and keep it to where it could be in the middle so it's not to far for all. That's only my input tho

I posted a poll in the California Meets section for which restaurant to go to....doing Elk Grove this time. Next time someone else can host and come up with some suggestions so we can all spread the miles.....

Hey Amy...BDH told me bout this gathering so I'll be there next Sunday to see if I'm interested. He had a bad experience with a car group once so he's not into it but I'll gve it a shot. Im a first-time Chevy and Camaro owner so what the heck. Sounds like a nice bunch of folks so far.
