Walker Chevrolet Experiences,....Franklin, TN
So here's a little heads up about a local dealership I visited,.....
I took my 2011 Camaro SS in to Walker Chevrolet in Franklin, TN for a metal on metal noise. The service guy told me he would go with me for a ride along or have the mechanic go with me to see if the noise could be heard. This is when I made the appointment. So I show up for my appointment on time the next day, and I was unable to take anyone on a so called ride along because the mechanic was late, and the service guy gave me a lame excuse. Ok fine, I let it go. So they take the car back, give it the multipoint inspection at no charge as its under warranty. The only response I got was we couldn't find anything. No explanation as what was done in the multipoint inspection to try and diagnose my exhaust noise. To me I feel like they are really lacking in Customer Service at this point. So I accept my noisey 2011 Camaro SS and on my way out I asked the sevice guy what aftermarket mods could I have done to my car that wouldn't void my warranty? He referred me to a guy in parts. A couple of days pass and I had some free time to go talk to this parts guy who wasn't there on my first visit. So I walk into the parts department, and a GM mechanic is working on someone's ignition in the parts department with a parts guy. I look to their left and the parts guy identified that I need to speak with by the service guy about getting warranty information on mods is on the phone. I look to the right and the other parts guy is on the phone practically sleeping on the wall. So I stand there while the mechanic and the parts guy continue to beat on this ignition switch for like a good 20 minutes,....all the while not paying any attention to a customer. No trouble, I was patient. Finally the mechanic went to go do something else. So finally I was able to talk to one of the parts guys. I told him what I was wanting to do to my car in mods and was curious if it would void my warranty. He referred me back to the Service guy. I told him the service guy referred me to parts,....Fortunately, the service guy who referred me to parts showed up in parts and came in on the conversation where the parts guy is making the statement "service ought to be taking care of things like this and should know". To which the service guy says he doesnt know. So, at this point I thanked them and walked out,...On my drive home, all I could think about was how bad the customer service there was. I have been an avid Chevrolet Guy for a long time, to me this quality and service is just wrong. So this weekend I will try a different dealership in Nashville, TN. I always held Walker Chevrolet up to a high standard until that and the next incident I encountered later. Seriously, I won't go back there. Maybe the next dealership will actually help me get my exhaust metal on metal noise fixed. Which is all I went there for to begin with. Hope the next Chevrolet owner doesn't run into what I did at Walker Chevrolet in Franklin, TN. God Bless America, and my
