Jet Power Module

Has anyone installed or know about the Jet Performance Module? It plugs directly into the factory PCM on the outside port as a piggy back device to the factory wiring harness, installs in just a few minutes. It is suppose to feed the PCM modified signals telling it to increase timing, shift points & better power gains? They have one that just came out for the 2012 V-6 engine specifically.......

I've been wondering about this too.. I hear from so many people that these do not work, but jet has been around for quite a while and a lot of reputable venders carry their products.

So what dies this do to the ecu?? I'm assuming it changes the afr?? Does this act as a "mini tune"?? The dealership will be able to see this during a regular check up because it will alter the ecu?? Please correct me if I am wrong because I really am not sure..

Yes it does change the a/f ratio but it is only detectable if you leave it plugged in the ecm when you take it in to the dealer, simply unplug it and plug the factory harness back in its place then everything is back to normal. Its basically an external device that changes signals & info going into the computer. It doesnt alter speed limiters & rev limiters though.

I hear ya, I have to get it installed by Friday at the latest, want to test it out before I install the Injen CAI which is also due to arrive on Friday :-) I'm even trying to find a local shop here so I can get some true dyno numbers with just it installed and then with both it and the CAI installed.

OK, it was more like a 15 min. install, you have to disconnect the battery :-) Installed it last night and drove to work this morning, and all I can say is "Wow"!!! the car is like night and day, throttle response is100% better, shift points have changed, when you get on it, it holds the lower gear a bit longer, on the highway if you step on it just a little it drops to a lower gear, I "assume" it's like taking the car to a shop and getting a "tune"??? does it add HP? I have no idea, I will know this weekend when I get a Dyno, does it work, HELL yes, people who say they are junk have never installed one or been in a car that has one, I am 100% pleased with this thing, the only warning I have is, be careful with the clips to the ECM when you remove it, I broke one of mine last night :-(

I actually had one of these installed on my 04 Monte SS. The Jet module was the shyt to me. I didnt have any mods at all besides this module. Mines was not plug in play via OBD port. I actually had to run wire through the firewall to some unit under the hood. Im not a mechanic so excuse my ignorance but it was about a 45 min job. It definetly woke it up. It was alot easier to get some white smoke coming from the front wheels going around corners. Got a little bit of chirp during straight take offs as well.

There is a dyno graph for the SS but none for the LFX. The website is lacking. I emailed them asking for a graph. If they respond I will post/share it.
