They're not. However, there's obvious and irrefutable evidence that there ARE numerous issues and potential issues with a fair number of 5th Gen convertible tops - and that's only from the limited number of 5th Gen Camaro Convertible owners that have registered on C5 and posted their experience(s, that we know of.

As has been mentioned several times in other threads, who knows the REAL NUMBERS of how many 5th Gen 'vert owners who have / had problems that don't follow any of the various 5th Gen online forums.

i bought my 2011 2ss/rs vert about 2 months ago when i took it back to dealership they said there was a warranty service for the top you guys might check into that might help with some of your issues but since im new here what are the problems with the vert?

The overwhelming majority of us are "in-the-know" about the "open recall" regarding the top.

In response to your question regarding what the problems with the vert are, you can't miss the Thread Subjects if you just browse the convertible forum. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=133. You just can't miss them.
