As long as it has a bed, I'm okay with it.

Trust me, I know, I'd love to hit the casino again as well. Here's the problem...it's only 5xx miles from Indy, leaving over 700 miles for the second day. It'd be nice if we could do 7xx the first day and 5xx miles the second day. I dunno...

WELL....what ya could do.....is go the Shreveport, La. the first day (795 miles) and stay at the Horseshoe Casino there......

Actually I am making a little detour......When I leave Indy, I'm going to St. Louis, My wife is flying in the night before, and we are staying at the Harrah's Casino there......then driving down the Shreveport, and staying at the Horseshoe there.....then driving the rest of the way.

Because, why stay at the same place twice? Don't you want to see new and different places?

So, you're suggesting making the trip back a three day affair?! I don't think the majority of us will be able to swing that.

Let me know if you need any help setting things up. We won't be making the return trip because we are shooting over to Illinois on the 4th to go see my family for a week.

Hot Springs would split the trip up into 636 miles the first day and 560 miles the second day (for the SA guys, at least). That's not too bad...

AND if you take Hwy 7 as part of your route in Arkansas.....its one of the states SCENIC HIGHWAYS.....and goes through Hot Springs.....BEAUTIFUL roads.....and some pretty nice twisties too! it runs between I-40 at Russelville to I-30 just below Hot Springs at Arkadelphia.

Hot Springs would be cool with me too.

There's a Baymont Inn that's on Lake Hamilton in Hot Springs, gives us a little scenic route to get back to the main highway too. Thoughts on this?

Been to Hot Springs...it is nice. Highway 40 is hell especially if you have stiff suspension. Closest thing to a dirt road yet called paved highway I have ever driven on.

We have hotel points to burn, I can change our return stay to Hot Springs if need be to tag along but will be staying in some form of Marriott.
