Replacing my fuel pump.........what else?

I bought a ZL1 pump and am planning on tearing apart the rear end to replace it.

What suspension stuff should I replace while I've got it all taken apart?

The bushings would be a LOT easier with the rear end down.

Definitely sub-frame bushings. It will make cutting out the old ones out much easier and touching up the chassis if it gets scratched doing so.

Trailing arm and toe links, that really doesn't matter if you have a lift.

Can't say about the diff bushing since I won't change those until I upgrade the axles.

Well if you've already got the rear subframe down it makes really any bushing replacement much easier... especially the subframe bushings. The arms aren't particularly difficult to install whether the subframe is on the ground or not, but it's a tiny bit easier to install the rear tie rods.

If you ever thought about Solid Subframe Mounts now is the time to get it done!

If you are going to up the power, then you should think about upgrading your injectors as well.

I should have added in the original post that I already have a Lysholm 2.3 blower installed hence the fuel pump change. I believe the kit came with upgraded injectors.

Sounds like sub frame bushings and diff bushings are an obvious choice since I will have the rear down on the ground.

I suppose everything else suspension wise could be R/R'd without dropping the rear no?

Unless $$$ is an object, I'd do LCAs while it was out and you're doing the bushings. Why crawl under her more then once? Save your back.

Sub-frame and diff bushes and those upper rear control arm bushes. While you have it apart, replace those OEM shouldered bolts in the upper inner rear control arm. You wouldn't want it to end up like this one...

While you are in there, call your local Chevy store and order up a pair of ZL1 upper rear strut mounts complete with bushes. They are an improvement over the SS bits. The driver's side toe bolt requires the sub-frame be dropped or tilted to remove it so you may as well add eXtended Range Alignment bolts. If you are changing those and are on the phone with Chevy grab a set of ZL1 toe links too.

Should I stop now
