You can get this cable from monoprice.com You unplug the the factory usb and plug the Monoprice cable in it place and route the cable to your usb cable input on your radio. That how I got mine setup.

You just unclip the the side panels with a plastic trim or taped screw driver. At end there are 2 screws one on each side to remove. left up to remove this cover. There are 2 plastic tabs on each side that holds the USB and AUX inputs in place. Press them in to remove the module. Follow the car wiring zip tieing along the way to the back of your radio.

no you will have to use the cable you get from Monoprice. Their no usb connector on the factory cable going to the radio.

Hey Cris, saw your PM. Like Caddyroger already mentioned you need that new usb cable. It needs to be a male usb to a Mini-B 5pin Male. Length you need is 6 feet. The one Caddy posted is fine. The one i got is USB 2.o compatible, gold plated, and has the ferrite core. See link: http://www.monoprice.com/products/pr...seq=1&format=2

What if you want to use the factory aux input? My Kenwood DNX6980 does not have an aux input, unfortunately. Is there any way?

You mean the DNX6980 does have one? Where is it located? The install guy said he couldn't find one on the back of the unit. Were you able to reconnect the factory aux line to it? How?
