We just finished our Trans Tunnel Brace that will also allow you to run a 3" exhaust with plenty of room and still plenty of ground clearance.

To make this kit even closer to 100% bolt-on, we are now offering composite cover panels that work with our hinge kit, so no need to trim yours.

They also are designed to give you a functional mail slot to funnel air into the engine bay, including 2 optional mesh designs.

They are $169 and you can place your orders here.

Damnit. So I'd have to take my hood off to put this on right?

Yes, but if you're worried about alignment, you could pull the front fascia off, take the hood struts off, and just undo the 2 bolts holding the hinge together. More work to take the front end off, but in the long run, might be quicker then trying to get the alignment perfect again.

As long as it has the same factory bolt locations as the stock hood, I don't see why it wouldn't. Being fiberglass it's a good idea to reinforce where the front hinge plate and the side struts mount to on the hood with some steel to ensure no cracking of the fiberglass under stress of high winds or somebody being too excited opening or closing it. We did one without reinforcing, and it's been fine so far, but probably not the best idea.

New kits are back in stock and ready to ship.

We also have our remote start adapter kit now available for pre-order! Kits are being produced next week and will ship as they are finished. The kit simply requires a pin switch to be added to the radiator support cover panel and the other end plugged into the factory harness. Cost of a kit is $39 with free shipping on all pre-orders through March 8th. Just put "Camaro5 pre-order" in the order notes, and we'll adjust the shipping when we process your order. For credit card orders only, if using Paypal, contact us first.

If you have the factory remote start, and want to keep using it, then you will need the remote start adapter kit.

Is that trans tunnel brace because the 3" exhaust actually sits on the stock brace and vibrates non stop? And will the reverse hood kit be a direct bolt on with my VIS cf hood also?

That is correct on the tunnel brace. You can't fit a 3" exhaust without using some sort of spacer/washer setup with the factory support. Plus this piece is much stronger than the flimsy factory stamped piece, giving you some extra stiffening.

The reverse hood kit can be fitted to an aftermarket hood, you'll just need to do a little more work to ensure the hood has enough metal plate under the front where the hinge mounts, and on the sides where the struts mount. This has been done many times on many different hoods, include a couple of threads on here guys have posted. Some hoods have a large enough plate up front, but the metal will need to be added on the sides for the struts. Can you get a way without the metal for the struts? Maybe. Some hoods use plenty of material and strong enough materials to be able to hold the small amount of pressure applied from the struts, but not sure I would want to find out the hard way if the hood isn't strong enough to handle it.

Not to sound stupid but Im just curious about the remote start not working with a reverse tilt hood kit installed. Why is the adapter needed? I mean what causes the factory remote start not to work once a kit is installed ?
