whats your favorite thing about your Z

Im tired of reading the negative threads and hearing about the shelby, let's talk about our cars without debating if its better than another.

Id have to say my favorite thing thus far is dropping it in second from third around 55 to 60 and laying the pedal down. Such an amazing feeling.

I'm usually cruising in 5th at 70 and drop to 3rd for the same thrill... This car is so damn smooth.

Yep would have to agree. Only thing better is when you do it with the windows down while driving through a tunnel.

So the only three of us to post all share the same favorite thing lol too bad no one else would like to share I guess they'd all rather be at some ones throat over the shelby :\

I like the feel of the seats when the heat is on, kinda like a Dr. Scholl's feeling. Also like the way the auto rev matches the down shifts when in sport mode, sounds and feels badazz.

Lets all agree the electric assist steering is far more crisp than the previous version.
All in all its a totally different car than my SS is. I just turned over 1000 miles today.
BTW, averaged 13.8 MPG since new but I am striving for 10 MPG here on out !

I like taking corners at much higher speeds than I ever even thought of in my SS. I like to switch from Tour and Sport on the fly when I see a curve that I want to hall ass around.

I would love to give the Glen a try. I've only seen it from afar, on TV watching NASCAR. That is my favorite race of the year to watch ...

I posted this earlier on a different thread but its worth posting again.
No comparison between mustang and Camaro.
EVERYTHING!
When I was a young man (15 years ago) I had a 67 SS Camaro, it was fun and attractive also. What originally drew me to the 5th Gen Camaro was the similarities to the 1st generation Camaros. I was dying to get one and thanks to a good friend I finally bought one and then another which is the 2012 ZL1.
I love the looks and I love my daughter who LOVES Friends and Family, Hotrods, dogs and people who love hotrods and dogs (and thats it) asking me to take her for ride in her hotrod 400 times a day! Oh and I love taking a 20mph turn at 70MPH!

...hard to say, it's either making sharp turns at incredible rates of speed, like as said in Star Trek...where no man has gone before < in a production Camaro>..........and it sticks like glue to the road, or exiting off ramps and standing on it.....then blasting off into controlled chaos. . The handling characteristcs and road capabilities of the ZL1 are superb.

My favorite thing is the initial start up as I get ready to pull it out of the garage. That will never get old.

I love the fact that it rides like a comfortable street car when I want it to and I can instantly unleash the beast when I want do.

My wife and daughter love cruising with me for the first time since I modded my 99SS.

not that I'm prejudiced or anything.............

.............there are so many things that I could name -

But one of my favorites: Leaving the parking deck and setting off car alarms all over the place!

....watching people as they watch the car come down the street - on the other hand, that happens to just about every new Camaro......

......my grocer coming up to me in the store and saying "...that is the most beautiful car I've ever seen!........"
