Lightbulb Vinyl Wrapping as a build option

Would like to suggest Chevrolet add vehicle wrapping as an order option.

How would it work?

The vehicle is painted with black primer or black as normal.

The customer creates a computer design at a workstation at Chevy dealership or online. Then it's uploaded to the factory after approval and printed. 3M printer and material, Epson colors.

The film is pressure sensitive, makes micro capsules of glue open with pressure.

CAW workers then apply the wrap to the vehicle. Cost 2-4 grand. Profit probably 50% (guess).

Here are some examples of what they look like. Skinwrapz is a popular company

Ummm...I'm at a loss for words. I guess if you're into that sort of thing? Do you want to use it for a business?

Toyota was going to do that after they went on the aftermarket wheel ordering kick, but the wraps bombed the market research... My Tacoma was a guinea pig...

Ok, so comercial vinyl is applied with heat, and has a finite shelf life. It's also a very specialized peice to both deisgn and put on vehicles. My wife has done many desings for Verizon/AT&T, etc on buses, planes, you name it.

So unless you're using the car as a rolling billboard, there is no point.

While the concept is interesting, the logistics are a nightmare. Any damage to a body panel would require a complete re-wrap of a large section, or even the entire car depending on how/where something took damage.
