Early VIN Questions

Is there any one of the early VINs, 2,000 and before, that has any new information on there car that for some reason has got lost? Just got off the phone with the 800 number and all they could give me is that it was made. Like no crap - I already knew it was built 4-29-09; they said it wasn't shipped yet with no ETA. If anyone else has any information it would be much appreciated; as we have been patiently waiting since when we ordered back on 10-13-2008. GM has REALLY screwed this up. Life long GM supporter; but, if this car does not blow our minds when we get it next year, this will be the last car I ever purchase from GM, if they even survive!! Sorry for the venting this is simply so frustrating. Happy for all of you that have already got your cars. I guess we should have waited until March or later to order our car so we would have actually got it. Lord knows GM would deliver them in the concurrent order dates. Right???

Your car's probably stuck in what folks have termed "Area 51/QC hell". There was a post last week about GM hoping to have these released within 3 weeks, if I remember right. Others may be able to shed more light on this.

Also: Yay for seeing another Tyler person!

It is nice to see the East Texas is being represented. I hope you get yours soon, if you haven't already. I saw a red V-6 - its Bacon's - going down Old J'Ville last week. Where did you get yours from?

I don't know whats worse... having your car built but stuck in QC hell or not even being built yet at all and having no clue WTF is happening.

Well, all I can add is that apparently they are starting to leave. Mine was built 3-18 and was sent to Pontiac on 4-15..........it finally left this past Friday. I have no other information on when to expect it though. I'm hoping based on other deliveries from there, it will be sometime this week or next at the latest.

Good luck.
