Well now I see what they mean about a 1SS under 40... Using the price guide provided by Mr. GearheadSS building a 1SS 1LE with the RS, NAV, rear vision, BA Speakers, Dual mode exhaust and inferno orange the GMS came out to $39743.53 before taxes and title. Whew that's a lot of dough. The 2ss with the same equipment (some is included already with the 2SS) it came to $42265.65

Not a huge price difference between the two models so I will most likely go with the 2SS 1LE. The NAV may be a hard sell but at 42K what's another 700 lol.

Base 2SS with 1LE will MSRP for $40,535 GM Preferred Price: $39,276.69

We still can't submit a prelimary order for a 1LE equipped car though.
$3500 is a smoking deal, considering you're getting wider wheels & tires, new gears, new transmission and special suspension.

Are there any changes to the differential?

I think it's a good deal too. The only thing I'm not happy about is that it doesn't include the NPP dual mode exhaust. You can still order it for $895 though.

Not sure if it is the same as the Vette LS7, but the press release states:

"While the Camaro SS features a Tremec TR6060-M10 for all-around performance, the Camaro 1LE features an exclusive Tremec TR6060-MM6. Paired with a numerically higher 3.91 final-drive ratio, the close-ratio gearing of the transmission is tuned for road-racing performance. As with the ZL1, the 1LE transmission features a standard air-to-liquid cooling system for track use"

Anyone know what front splitter is on the 1LE? Sure looks like the SLP or a version of. I like it and would like to know.

Thanks!

They do sell them any dealer can order them, but they're around $800 per wheel plus tires, so with that in mind I'm going to get the 1LE package since they come with it and the whole package is less than these wheels would cost alone.

Now if they add a black hood wrap delete and maybe a black spoiler delete. I am ready to order my 1LE.

He added it to the 1SS and 2SS preferred prices in his first post. I figured it to be approximately 3100 GMS

No doubt. I really hope they offer a black delete on this car. I don't like the look of it at all.

I think the preferred price is the same as the gm military discount. I may seriously be in the hunt for a 1le at this point. Thanks for the info

Correct. Order management doesn't give me the option price break downs for preferred pricing. It will only give me the total price of the car and all selected options.

I just went back and looked at some prices on Gmmilitarydiscount.com and did some quick math. Looks like I was pretty close in myestimates. I was thinking before this price was announced that the price between a 45th 2ss(no other options) and a 2013 1le/1ss with rs (no other options) would be nearly identical in price. Looks like less than $1k in price difference. I'm glad I didnt pull the trigger on that 45th as I'd much rather have a 1LE. Now if I could only get a CFM 1le...

Wow! This is a lot cheaper than most were expecting. That puts me looking closer at a 2SS instead of the 1SS. I'm thinking 2SS/RS with NPP and thats it. What a deal.

Any word on when we can start ordering the 1LE. Also, I agree I would love a black hood wrap delete and spoiler delete as well.

I figure I'll go 2SS/RSS NPP and NAV. I doubt the RS or NAV will significantly affect performance (as some would make it seem). This will not be a daily driver. I will track/autocross the car some but not much. When i do go out for a drive, I want to be comfortable. Using my phone for music and nav will get old and the 7" screen w/voice commands is a lot easier to follow.

Any idea how this actually affect the RS package? I figured the 1LE rims would be standard if you decide to combine the 2 packages but since the RS has specific painted rims, does that change anything?

I had the same thought but since the RS is discounted for SS vs LS/LT, the difference wouldn't be much. I think the SS RS package doesn't really charge for the wheel color. Still paying for roof molding, headlights and painted fin.

The LS/LT RS charges for the wheel upgrade.

I would say that pricing is pretty good. Significantly less than the BOSS. I figured the 1SS 1LE would be about $39k, so this is less than I was expecting.

I really wish you could get a 1SS 1LE RS with HUD... that's pretty much the ultimate no-frills driving machine as far as a Camaro is concerned. Lowest weight possible (1SS weighs less than 2SS), RS package gets you the better headlights (I think doing autocross at night would be awesome), and HUD lets you keep you eyes stay focused on the race track instead of having to look down. Having no HUD available on the 1SS kills that of course.
