Trade truck for SS?

So i test drove a 2SS yestersay and fell in love. The only way to aquire this however is to have it replace my truck via trade in for a DD. My question is for those of you with only a camaro is it too much of an inconvenience where not having a larger vehicle such as a truck should be a first concern?

I traded my 09 Silverado for my ss and never once regretted it...ok so there were times I wished I could haul something but the perma grin is enough for me on a daily basis. I never had a perma grin before and my silvy was supercharged.

yea you will miss it.

I traded in a silverado 3/4 ton ,black modded pickup on my 2ss.Yes I miss it but only from the hauling aspect.Been looking for a mint s-10 for quite some time now.Eventually I will find it.As long as you can borrow someone else's I dont see a problem. But if you are like me, owned pickups all the way back to the 60's so yea you will also.

You can rent a truck by the hour at Lowe's or Home Depot, when you need one. ENJOY a Camaro the rest of the time.

If I had to do it over again I wouldn't of traded in mine, I would of waited another few months and cam up with a better down payment and financed more. VERY inconvienent for me at least.

Well i have to trade trucl because i cant make both payments. And wouldnt be able to get a 2SS but its a 2011 that still hasn't sold so original sticker of 39k down to almost 32k with auto, sunroof, and extra cost color. So im thinking this would be a good buy. Trucks can always be replaced imo

Not to worry, there are people here that deer hunt and have put deer they bagged in the trunk.

I paid off my Dodge Ram 1500, kept it and then got the SS convertible! If you haul or tow things frequently, then keeping the truck or perhaps getting access to someone elses truck from time to time would be helpful.

It shouldn't be a problem , assuming that you have at least one friend close by that still have a truck ,just in case you need to move something from point A to B

Soon after buying my Camaro I realized that it is too nice of a car to drive it to work everyday so I bought a 1994 Silverado 1500 z71 as my daily driver.

The issue I'm having is figuring out a way to tow our seadoo jet boat... My 05 Jeep Grand Cherokee would be my "down paymen". The wife's 11' Kia Sorento 4 cylinder front wheel drive isn't rated for the boats weight... If it was I would be looking for a Camaro now!

I did this a year and a half ago. It was my wife's fault as she saw me geeking out at my computer on a sunny day and wanted something fun to do, so she suggested we go to a test drive. I had a 2004 Silverado that we drove to the dealership, went for a test drive, and ended up driving my new SS home. HAH!

If you are in the process of remodeling your home or making regular trips to home depot/lowes/etc, then you may want to think twice about it. There's a certain freedom with a truck in that you know that whatever you might find, you can haul it back, if it's 40 bags of mulch, a couple dressers, whatever. Not going to have that freedom in the Camaro, but it brings with it its own type of freedom that is different from the truck.

So, it really depends on where you are at in your life and what you use your truck for. Only you know how much of an impact it will ultimately make...

Best of luck...
