Here is the latest ZL1 upgrades from Late Model Racecraft.

You see , this is what I don't get. For all those cry babies out there saying that the new GT 500 has 662 HP and the Camaro is slower in a straight line. From everything I've seen the GT 500 is at least $6000 more than a ZL1.

I'm pretty sure these upgrades at LMR was less than $6000. Now this car has roughly 725 HP wich should more than keep up with a GT 500 and for the same or less money

P.s. Just for the record, the mustang doesn't need all the options to handle well at the strip...

MSRP on the 2013 gt500 is 55k, about what the zl1 is so its not 6k more. You also just lost your warranty.

To make the cars apples to apples comparison you need all the upgrades on the ford which puts it well over 60, like 63 -64k.

Track your ford and you lose YOUR warranty.

Correct. Gen II TVS1900.

LSA is still a 6.2, like LS3/L99, so I imagine it should fit in ZL1 with no problems. I have to wonder if the STB might get in the way, but I imagine it probably won't. There are other solutions I believe would take care of that anyways.

I don't see why the LSA would make more power than the LS3 with a tvs2300 on it. The LSA is just way better built to handle the power

The cam in LSA is a lot smaller and it's my understanding the special heads in LSA/LS9 are a little more restrictive, due, in part, to the swirl vanes cast into them. LSA also has a 1900, unlike the 2300 Maggies, E-Forces', and such

Yes, but for someone that just wants to drive the car on the street and go to the drag strip, the Track Pack and Performance Pack are not necessary, and might actually hurt straightline performance due to added weight (not to mention added cost).

When I bought my '98 Camaro SS, I didn't bother with the extended warranty, because I knew I was going to mod and race it. It's a good thing I knew how to fix cars, plus in 1 1/2 years I put on 40K miles, so the warranty was gone quickly.

Not to mention the auto CTS-Vs guys with mod lists like this tend to have their tranny built relatively quickly.

FWIW, I am sure this package is mroe than 6k installed.
