Scosche, steering wheel controls, and KW DNX990HD

About a month ago I purchased the Scosche dash kit for the Kenwood DNX9990HD. I just now got it all together and my steerling wheel controls do not work. When I purchased it from Phastek they told me I did not need any other modules for this.

This is what I have done
there is a light bl/ylw trace wire on the Scosche and Kenwood marked steering wheel controls. I connected them together.

Went into Scosche settings and located aftermarket radio and choose KW.

I cannot find any other seettings in the radio or Scosche. Can anyone help?

Thanks

You need the SWI-RC from Pac Audio when using the Scosche kit.
if you call me to order I can program the SWI-RC for you so you do not need to do it.

I have the Scosche dash kit with a Pioneer AVIC -Z140BH head unit. The steering wheels controls work well. The only thing I have against it is the the channel down in the SD or satellite mode it takes 2 down presses to change the music down 1 song. I do not if that the radio or The Scosche kit.

If you want Onstar then there is a module. Only extra part was radio antenna adaptor.

I took the touch screen part off and painted the kit before installing it. Was easy, just be careful where the kit is two pieces. If you flex or bend it to much it comes apart a little bit at that point.

I would recommend getting some epoxy glue a gluing the 2 pieces together. it will make it stronger. I did mine that way I do not to worried about it breaking apart the joint.
