Solo HFC's are a great addition to a LLT engine Camaro- I don't know if they have a bolt on compatible with the LFX .

I'm pretty sure they are compatible, since their cant be headers this would be a good bolt on since the factory cats are very restrictive

Im thinking of getting the mach solos, but want evidence of performance gains. Surely somebody has dyno results. Sound alone means nothing. There has ro b evidence, right?

Were they specific about the cats or did they mean the cat-back exhaust?

From pics I've seen, I don't think the high-flo res-cats for the LLT will fit without fabrication on the LFX.

SOLO has done testing on them on the LLT. They have a thread in the V6 bolt on section somewhere and in that thread they claim 15rwhp on an LLT V6. Not sure what these would do for the LFX, but I would think it would still be pretty decent.

Glad this works for you LFX guys....you can't do headers so this is the next best thing and the good part is you will get 3/4 or more of the gain that an LLT gets with real long tube headers.

I've always questioned it too, but I just figured that if SOLO told him that they'd fit, then they must.

Really, if there is a flange in front of the cats on the LFX that can be unbolted, then they likely do work, but I'd make SURE before I ordered.

LFX owners the above warning is correct... I spoke with Steve @ Solo last week & confirmed the same info advised above (cat back fits, hi-flows a no go). They are in the R&D phase with no ETA to market.

I'd never spend that much money for the high flow cats... You're being overcharged by $500...

You can buy universal catalytic converters for about $50-$100, take it to a muffler shop and have them weld it in. There's no reason to pay such a premium just because it's a product for the 2010+ Camaro (aka the "Corvette Premium").

Sound for the HFC from Solo isn't tuned differently then Universal...or there isn't any sound to tune in a High Flow CAT?

Sorry, but I have no expertise in CATs.

I don't have any experience with designing or engineering of cats, but at least for my understanding a high-flow cat is a high-flow cat. For example I just swapped my '94 exhaust from Magnaflow to Hooker Aerochamber. The tone of my exhaust hardly changed because both were already performance exhausts. So what I mean is that compared to stock, the tone will change when you put in a high-flow cat... but whether the change between two high-flow cats would be that different... that I'm not sure about but I personally doubt it. To really change the tone they'd have to do something to the air flow with baffles or other things which would be the opposite of "high flow" attribute.

I'm pretty certain the 15RWHP gain they saw was with the res-cats AND the Mach LLT cat-back. Unless I'm reading something wrong:

almost anything you buy thats a specific thing for the camaro is gonna cost alot more than if you can buy it in peices. for instance they sell the flowmaster american thunder axle back for 400+ not installed...but i went to a exhaust shop and had them install flowmaster 40 series with new tips for under 300. and thats all the american thunder is, just 40 series.
