Corvette takes it, but not by much.. all depends how you peel out and shift on your gears

I have a 2010 SS with a LS3 (mods:solo cats and a CAI with scoop) and my Dad has a 2005 convertible Vette auto (mods: diablo predator tune). We never lined them up but when I drive his car it seems faster than mine.

I ran a corvette convertible when my Camaro was stock and got him by a half car length in 1/8th mile. I got him out of the hole that way and it never changed.

Bonnies is a 2005 and I'll tell you right now it'll beat a stock 5th Gen Camaro. No contest.

I have added nearly 300 HP since so I can beat her but make no mistake, a base model Vette is no joke.

Then PQ why does non Z06 or grand sport vettes feel slow to me. Even the 2011 base C6 M6 I drove wasn't impressive and was slower from 0-50mph. All I have now is stock tune,Haltech intake and my custom , (keeps the torque in check, 2 3/4" BBK X pipe with 2.5 JBA axleback feels like you got headers when you don't) exhaust setup maybe that's it.

430hp 3300 lbs vs 430 hp 3850 lbs = Vette win every time. Is it possible to beat one? Yes, but it will be because your a better driver than the person in the vette. Not because your Camaro is faster.

I got a 12.4 on Dynolicoius while I can only manage a 12.2 with my car that is almost 300 hp more.

I've been pretty impressed with her Vette.

Just don't tell her that. lol

Just being an #$#. I know vettes are faster but my car is really impressive. I guess a GS with rear gear swap , tune and intake M6 of course would be my next toy scratch the Z06.

Just race him, a stock ls2 vette would pull a stock 5th gen. But with just the intake a muffler delete you should hang with him better, your car will actually have the edge at slower speed even with the weight. I would say it will come down to driver. These cars are not that far apart with just your avg drivers but the vette has a little top end advantage.

Weight is key here and you are correct. every 100#'s is a tenth in the 1/4 mile.

Nice stance for both of you btw.....what style or MMA? I'm old fart..(late 50's) and used to compete full contact years ago before MMA.

I remember that pic.

NO training in any for either of us. You should have seen her stance before I told her how to stand for the pic. LMAO

She had both feet and shoulders squared up toward my car. Just looked odd as hell.

Ya, my car weighs 4120 with a full tank of gas and me in it. So bonnie makes up a lot of the horse power there. Never dynoed hers but it's the LS2 so 400 bhp. Mines close to 700 bhp if not a bit over.

I agree. My cousin has an 05 targa auto vette, and my boy has a 06 auto as well. The fastest either of them have gone is 13.0's at around 109 mph. If you can pull your camaro out of the hole, you should be able to handle that C6. I beat both of them. Just intake and magnaflow cat back.
FYI ( I had a C6 z51 before the wife got pregnant. 4:10 gears, full exhaust, intake, tune and 150 shot)..The C6's can be monsters, but the auto tranny and 2:73's kill their quater mile times..Also the 05 vettes have 400 hp, not 430..If you put a tune on your camaro and do something about the torque management crap, tone it down a little, it will help your 60 ft times as well..Just my 2 cents..
