Streaming Bluetooth on 1LT w/o C & C package

I just got a 2012 camaro RS 1LT without the C & C package. I would like to stream music from my iphone to the radio. I have the IPHONE connection by bluetooth but cant get it to stream music. I would have thought it was an option that was part of the C & C package, however on the chevy.com website it states this is standard for all camaros:
Bluetooth® Wireless Technology(4) for Select Phones
Hands-free calling plus the ability to stream music stored in your phone to the stereo.

Has anyone been able to get this to work? I have looked on youtube.com and havent found any steps to work.

Thanks in advance.. NEW CAMARO OWNER

Without c&c you can't I believe. Bluetooth is standard on 2012 when it comes to making phone calls not streaming music

This.

You need to install the PDIM if you want to stream music to the radio.

Have you tried following the steps in section 7-20 of the manual?

If that doesn't work then you probably do need the PDIM.

I added the PDIM to my 1SS and it works great!
Ordered the part from GM Parts Warehouse and had my dealer install.
Check the audio section of our forum, there is a thread about adding the part.

This exact topic was brought up a few months ago by a different member. IIRC he could't stream music via BT without the PDIM - and I agree this is not what is implied on the chevy.com site - I just looked again and it specifically states you can stream music from your phone. You may want to get clarification from the GM customer support guy (Brandon??) that hangs out on the site.
