I've mentioned this in a few other topics, I want to get into the sport. I've never done it before, and there seems to be an event held almost every weekend somewhere in New Jersey. I'm wondering if we can get a nice group of Camaros out there to have some fun one day. Right now, I'm looking at July 28th at the Meadowlands, but that is subject to change depending on baseball for me, here is the schedule:

Well, by myself or not...I'm registered for the 28th at the Meadowlands. Now to find a helmet. I'm the only Camaro on the list so far.

I'm interested by i'm clueless about going to one of these. got anymore info? I have a helmet, but do I need anything else, how much is it, where do i sign up, do i need a specail license all these dumb questions i have bc I never did this before.

A helmet, regular license, and $60 entrance fee (for non-members) is all you need. You are in better shape than I am if you have a helmet.

Unless I can convince my parents I would be fine going by myself, it looks like I might have to pass on the fest. It can possibly change in two weeks though, it's not hard to find a hotel room.

As far as autocrossing goes, let me know...if I like it (why wouldn't I enjoy it?), I'll probably be hitting up a few events before the summer ends.

Yup....I may end up going to the PCA one on Sunday instead (same time and place).

I ended up having off on Sunday, so I registered for both just in case I have a baseball game during the day Saturday (slim chance, but you never know...it's a game three, with a game time of TBD).

Well, I'm planning on going Sunday...I want to spend Saturday breaking out the clay bar for the first time this summer.

Anyone else interested? It's going to be lonely by myself.

This sounds like fun. I am interested in this after doing it with the SRT8 track day. Its a blast.

Do it! I signed up for another session on August 4th, in addition to July 29th. Both are at the Meadowlands.

There is supposed to be someone with another Camaro at the event on the 4th.

My parents really aren't thrilled with the idea, and I'm not sure I want to spend all the money to go by myself. I don't get paid vacation days at this point of my life either, so I would be paying for it twice too, unfortunately.

Also I have no idea what class i was supposed to register in so i just did A Stock. oh well if its wrong. i guess you live and learn.

There about 20 of us here In So Cal that do Autocross every chance we get....Once you get your group together your going to have a blast!!

Judging on your mods, I would guess E Sreet Prepared...I'm not sure you can pass for stock, the A Stock is more for newer Corvettes.

Also, I mentioned it to was619 in a pm...mother nature is screwing with my baseball schedule, my game got canceled for today and potentially moved to 5pm tomorrow. Can't really blow it off, because it's playoff time now. I'm still going to go unless my schedule changes again, but I'm probably going to have to peace out by 2:00pm.
