Ultimately it is worth what you are willing to take and what a buyer is willing to pay. When you meet in the middle, that is what is worth. New cars are not investments and do not appreciate.
Park that car in a bubble for 25 years and then you might have some serious coin!
Thanks for the reply. It would be interesting to see if 5th gen Camaros are a big hit as a newer classic in 25 years. I think so.

No worries, I understand your statement. However, there are some differentiators with the ZL600 and the ZL1. I'm a huge fan of the ZL1 and do think it's an incredible production beast. I do think if it goes more mainstream it should help the "limited" edition piece of the SLP cars. We'll see.

Again, this is great reading everyone's responses. I like hearing what people "would pay" for it, but more importantly if this was your car, what would you list it for?

Beautiful car(minus the spoiler)but I picked 55K,like some of the others have stated with the release of the ZL1 most would buy new.Yet I would still price it high and hope for a decent return on your investment.
I think if you garaged the car and sat on it for a few years you may see a higher return.Your thread reminds me of why I don't want to put to much money in my car,but I do plan on keeping my car and adding the E Force superchager until a significant change comes about for the Camaro.
Good luck I hope that you get every penny back.

I voted for 60 just for the attention and detail giving to the vehicle. However I doubt it would sell for that. If I had 60 to blow Im not sure I would pull the trigger though. Depends on the buyer.

It's a well built car no doubt...it's not my style, but that's not the point of your thread.

I can't vote in your poll though, because I don't think it's worth as much as any of the choices.

I'd put your car somewhere in the 38-40K range. I bought my 2010 SS 1 year old in similar condition for 12K less than the original owner bought it for...as much as you like your car, you have to remember that things depreciate a LOT the moment you drive them home...I'd say in the same condition (not mods, but cleanliness and whatnot) if it weren't an SLP car...I'd put it right around 30K...so given that it is, that's why I say 38-40...just my opinion.

I agree, the ZL1s release put a bit of a damper on the SLP ZLs. However, it would be great to see some folks test drive a ZL1 then test drive my car and see what they think. Perhaps they'd think twice, especially if it's closer to 60.

Thanks for the high compliment. No worries on the wing. It is something I have considered changing. It looks better in person than the pics. I was thinking of swapping to the SLp wing but still create the same vinyl pattern. Should look good.

Yeah, I hear ya. Thanks for the kind words. You are in MD? I think we should meet up and I'll take you for a spin, maybe even a drive. I need someone to post up their thoughts on this car. Ya game?

I know. I'm mainly trying to get an idea of what the majority of C5ers think and would do in this scenario. I was supposed to be going to C5 Fest and was planning to bring the car, but I am expecting a little one (boy). So I need to stay close by. I should have mentioned on my original post that is what sparked the interest of posting this to get everyone's thoughts.

Thanks again everyone that has shared input and voted on the poll. This is very interesting. Keep Them coming.

After writing that last post, I do think I'd like to get a couple of local C5ers to join me in some driving fun and to check out my car. I would love some honest up front opinions about everything from cosmetic mods to power, etc. I have a feeling you will have fun, but I do like constructive criticism. I also would like to find a ZL1 owner to try it out. Also please keep in mind the goal is not to prove anything against the ZL1. I think all C5ers would like to hear unbiased opinions on an SLP ZL.

I chose 75k in the poll. You know what your car is worth and what you put into it. Even if it's not worth 75k why not try that at first? I mean, if you get no hits reduce it 5k. Then reduce it by 10k if no hits and so on and so forth and maybe you'd end up selling it for 55k. That's how selling things (cars, houses, etc) works. Someone will surely want to make a counter offer and it doesn't mean your necessarily going to sell it for 75k just because that is the asking price. But that's where you could start and it wouldn't hurt IMO.

I love your car, but I voted for what I though someone might actually play. You would be hard pressed to get more then 55k$ imop when competing against the likes of Chevys ZL1 and the GT500 (at this price range).

But non the less, you do have one of my favorite cars on c5... Well done

I was thinking the same thing about the AET08 auction car going for $43k. That car was everything I could ever want in a camaro. That being said I think your car would bring about the same or a little more.

I appreciate the compliments! I hear ya, the ZL1 and the GT500 are production beasts and pretty fairly priced. Would it change your mind some if my car was pushing close to 600 rwhp? Just curious.

Yeah, total bummer there. I feel bad for AET08. I remember following some of his build. I think I should stay away from auctions.

Sorry buddy, your car is worth a lot more than people are willing to pay IMO. And like many here have said, I also would just rather go with a ZL1. (Personal Preference) But there's always SOMEONE out there who wants exactly what you have if you really are thinking about selling it. Sweet car though

I picked the lowest option but believe it would be less as others have said there is the ZL1 and if I were to spend that kinda money I would want the pleasure of going through the mod selection/installion process where I get to pick and choose which gets added to suit my tastes. SLP is nice but there are other (Lingenfelter, Callaway, etc.) that have modded Camaros and will probably build to a customer's requirement so long as they have the $$$. JMO. You have a sweet ride no doubt but just not one that people will pay anywhere near what you put into it.
