Goes in for dyno tomorrow

V6 auto goes up on the rollers tomorrow (hopefully I can get out there by 4). I'm estimating 261rwhp.... seems reasonable based on the cady guys.

Anyone else feel how restricted the car is under load? I swear she's going insta-rich around the 4K mark (slight bog). I feel there is so much hiding inside this little 3.6, just don't have a way to tune it yet.

cant wait to see the resullts, i want to make some significant gains witout the use of a turbo or supercharger. I wonder how much quicker the car will be with cat back exhausts and a CAI

Got my fingers crossed you make it. If you don't it's your ass on a platter and we're out for blood! Kidding.

Good luck tomorrow.

Just out of curiosity, are you dynoing it just to see what it makes, or to verify future mods? I would love to see what these cars gain from a full exhaust. Or even a cat-back for that matter. Can't wait to see the results!

Yes, this is to establish baseline hp/tq numbers, as well as view into the AF through the run. My guess is we'll find that the car conservatively rich above 3500, but we'll see.

Mods planned thus far are LT's (if I can get them from the ausies), custom exhaust w/ magnaflow mufflers, CAI.

Lack of tuning ability right now sucks. I may be able to piggyback w/ MAP ecu and see if tuning can be done that way from a fuel mix side. Timing may be an issue, still researching the stock ECU type.

You can feel how much the torque management steps in between shifts and the short-shifting for gas mode of the auto kills some of the strait line power.

Looking forward to these numbers.

I'm already planning to add a CAI first thing. Cat-back is the next option. Looking forward to some good baseline numbers. Thanks for posting this.

I can't wait to see your numbers. I'm really interested in seeing what this motor is capable of when given a chance to breathe. I have a feeling you will be surprising quite a few '09 and earlier Mustang GT's with a CAI, full exhaust and tune.

You did your break in first right? I advise waiting at least the first oil change to do the dyno.

Break in on a modern car is a debated topic. From an engineering standpoint -- no real point.

365miles as of this morning
