Anyone ever run this tire:

I just ordered these to use in the true street class. I had gd look with an 18" M&H drag radial so this should be no different.

Thanks!

I believe MightyMouse, well known 4th gen car (8.5's street car) ran some and did well with them.

Im wondering about these as well. I wanted to go with some MT's but dont know how much a 26" diameter tire will affect the car over a 28".... anyone know?

What gear is in your car? That tire will def need a retune for the shifting.

May to short. I don't have the formula but that'll give you a working rear ration of over 4.00. Def play havoc on shifting. When I was playing with hearing the 4.10 would make the car shift into 5th right before the finish. I would stay away from the tire. May be a tuning nightmare.

Wider isnt always better, but im thinking the same way you are at this point. Many IRS's have changed from 345/325/315 to a 295 and 275 and hook a lot better, but im going to try the 325 and see what we get. Ive done almost every trick in the book at this point to get my car to hook up and its still blowing the tires off with just a little throttle off the start. The 325's better work for another $550+

You don't want a slick? The 295, 17" mt ET street worked in my car in the low 600's. At 650 they wouldn't hold the car.

I have Hoosier slicks on it now and hit better 60's with 18" DR's on the car. A lot has changed since then tho, but we havent seen less than a 1.53/51 with the hoosiers. 325's im hoping is the answer

Hooking a car is a mix of power management, suspension, and track prep quality.

Do you have a build thread, what's your setup?

Does anyone make adjustable shocks for these cars... QA1's, Afco's?

We were at the track all day with the TT 427 LS 4th gen and it's all power management at that point with some suspension adjustments. Worst short time was 1.25 and best was a 1.21 (Have done 1.19 recently too).

These cars don't feel like they weight transfer that well. Have you taken off the front swaybar to help loosen up the front end? Very common mod for 4th gens.

Taking the front sway off does nothing. I saw zero improvements. The problem is these cars transfer to much weight and you end up wasting energy. I'll post a picture of mine cutting a 1.44. The bumper just keeps dropping lower and lower.

Dont make me bust a 1.3 on your ass!

Pull some power...... have you gone mad! Ive got the setup its just time to dial it in. Its been hard with local tracks that are not putting on big events and track prep isnt very good. There will be no turning it down

LSX Indy event was very well prepped and the DA was very low. Many records were set there last year at that event including a 1.23 60ft with a stock bottom Z06

Ah. I haven't been at this power level in my car with good air and prep. This fall!!. I'd be happy with a 1.42.

You are correct, this isnt a straight axle, taking off the sway bar does nothing but make your car handle bad
