Moisture in Reverse light Lens

Has anyone experienced moisture in your reverse light lens? I have it in both lenses and it does not go away.

This was spotted in some pre-pro cars and severl production cars. A problem they never really addressed :( A small problem, yea, but still a problem.

This might explain why I still don't have my car. At this rate I might get it in 2010. VIN 847

Move to Arizona. Problem solved. Except not today. It's raining right now. Also, never wash the car. Or goop silicone sealer all around the lens.

Kidding.

My wife saw moisture in the backup lights on a 1LT at Portsmouth Chevy in NH. She said some mechanics were looking a the car and said something about a moisture issue but she didn't catch all they said about it. She says they were saying something about because it was an independent rear suspension there would be moisture issues like another car had in the past. I was not there. I have no idea what that has to do with it.

Take it for what its worth. Its hearsay...

Wow...There's some brilliant engineering. Please don't tell me I'll have to lift the engine to change the spark plugs.

Check seal on the lamps. Might want to apply some silicon lube to gasket.

Make sure it's low humidity when you clean out and reseal it.

I saw a yellow 2SS fresh off the truck #48xx and the passenger side lens was filled with moisture. Hopefully they've caught onto this issue and fixed it with higher VIN cars.

i wouldnt do anything, make the dealer do that. you would think you could through the trunk like most cars. Thats what worries me a little bout this car, that it was pushed through in a hurry there are going to be some more bugs than normal. and we are probably going to see some recalls down the road.

Has something to do with the Canadian weather...kidding...
I always thought there should be a very small "weep hole" at the bottom of the lens to allow the air to circulate in the lens and therefore minimize, if not eliminate the fogging.

Unhappy

An 80 V6, and you had to pull the front tires to get at them easier!

Same here. Dealer said it could be 3 months before it comes in. I'm concerned that the moisture will damage the light socket. If so, they'll have to replace that as well.
