Bee-Otch Lawsuit

It seems what most probably just thought of as a little added touch in the Transformers movie could cost a lot of money...

I'm surprised she's not seeking more money.

Usually I just dismiss these "they stole my idea" lawsuits, but this is the first one I've heard of that at least initially sounds believable. Luckily it should be easier to prove one way or another, since she supposedly had a copyright on it.

I'm sick of lawsuits too, but she does have a good case. They bought them from her and are now trying to sell them on their own with no money to her. It's wrong, and she'll win if it makes it to court without a settlement.

She might have come up with the design but I thought Snoop Dog came up with the slogan. Maybe she ought to be paying out some royalties...

She should be, I'm pretty sure Snoop Dog came up with that slogan as well, and I don't even like/listen to rap..

Anyone know where you can buy both the bee-otch air freshner and the disco ball?

Shoot, she should be sued by 'god' for using a bee, or the inventor of the air freshener for making an air freshener without paying royalties!

OH! Maybe GM should be paying royalties to the germans for the car!

If there was a 5 cent fine every time a thread was necro'd around here, Tran would be making a profit off this site.

Well in this case, I have to side with the creator and holder of the copyright. Had Dreamworks paid her to use the product and legitimized her art work, she could have made millions selling that air-freshener "mass marketing it" to auto-shops and other vendors. Both would have been happy..And $850,000 lawsuit is a fair one ine this case..
