Well, I've forgotten my car unlocked before when I was just running in somewhere for a second but I never have or will forget my car unlock with the keys in the ignition... Turn car off, remove key, get out... I assumed that was a fairly standard thing...

Somehow I don't think this crook was bright enough to do that, and I suspect that he didn't have his tool-box handy at that precise moment. Speaking of moments, do you suppose he had time to cut wires in this situation?

Only certain people get jail time for these minor felonies. The rest get perks.

The cops should have shot the low life. He will be back out next week only to steal again. The only question is will your car be next?

What is sad if having to worry about these kinds of things. What happen to the days when people could leave there doors open or keys in the car. I have friends that live in BFE and they alwasy leave keys in there ignition. They never had a need to worry about it.

Thank our current media for how society is falling apart. Local news spending a half hour talking about all the murders, rapes, burglaries, etc doesn't exactly promote a good community.

I wasn't sure either. Then I realize maybe that was a way for him to hide

I wonder just how many of those that made comments do leave there keys in their car from time to time but won't admit it. I know when I get gas around here I always leave them in it. It doesn't matter if it my 2011 Camaro SS, my 2006 Vette, or any other of my cars or trucks.

You need an active OnStar subscription to use any of the OnStar services. For your 2011 Camaro, you'd have access to all 3 Stolen Vehicle Assistance services - Stolen Vehicle Tracking, Stolen Vehicle Slowdown, and Remote Ignition Block (these were all used in the case of the Camaro stolen in the news story on this thread)

More info available here: http://www.onstarconnections.com/201...rst-nightmare/
