North Easterners getting the cold shoulder !!!

I talked to the guy who does ordering today at my dealership
he just got off the phone with GM and he was informed that NO ZL1
VERT allocations will be given too at least the 1st of the year for northeast .
they dont like to ship verts in the bad weather !!
Some good news he said I wont lose my allocation due to the nav
constraints, he was told that the verts would be retro ordered for the
nav(what ever that means)
long cold winter!!the summers not even over yet!!

I hope you're right. I don't think so, they have more to lose by stringing me a long , having me get sick of waiting and pulling out.
I hope you're right though

My guess is that the dealership just hasn't gotten any of the current Vert allocations that dealers were notified of back in June. Those allocation announcements were for from then till Dec 31st.

Perhaps your dealer didn't get any, and they're hoping to get some come Jan 2013?

The dealer was straight-up with me from day one, he never promised me anything. he said he would put the order he did (QJCTNM) He said the zl1 vert was new and might take up to year or more .They have sold 2 2012 zl1's already and have 1 2013 hard top on order, they get allocations .I am 1st on the list, one in back of me according to the man who does the fleet ordering not the sales guy telling me this .the fleet guy told me unless they change the policy about shipping verts in the bad weather we were not getting a allocation until the earliest the 1st of the year .
I was under the impression that allocation's come out once a month during allocation week ,2nd to last week of every month 12 times a year
I also got MSRP !!
But hoping for miracle it is frustrating having the money and not being able to buy some love!

Dealers are informed how many allocations they will be getting over a period of time. For example GM may let them know in JUne just how many allocations they will be recieving for ZL1 coupes and another number for ZL1 verts for the period from June to Dec 31st.

At that time, all the dealer knows is how many allocations they'll be getting, not WHEN they will be able to use them.

That's what the dealers find out month to month.

They may be told they'll get 2 allocations for ZL1 verts, but they might have to wait till August to ba able you use the 1st allocation and have to wait til maybe November before GM allows them to use the 2nd allocation.

In my dealers case, GM told them they would only be getting a single allocation for a ZL1 Vert, and they had to wait till July before GM would let them use it.

gm will run out of 60 thou dollar customers before they out of 60 thou dollar cars

Good to know HDRDTD ty
The way i look at it this is going to take some time.
I think GM wants my money as soon as they get rolling
they will be itching to relieve me of 67 or so thousand dollars
maybe by then they have all those bugs worked out on the tops
a wise old timer told me GM will run out of 60 thousand dollar customers
before they out of 60 thou dollar cars -just wait

The allocation depends on the dealer's sales strength, plus a GM marketing guy told me they're handling this edition similar to the Volt...build-as-ordered. GM used to -force- dealers to take multiple Volts...until they caught fire instead of catching on.

TY for good advice steeler ny
I definitely would have moved on quicker if he had not already
received 3 allocations,he offered me the 2013 zl1 coupe allocation
I was going to take it i was sitting with him typing up the order for
the coupe ,and I was already regretting it .I said if this going my dream car
It will be worth the wait!!
I have 3 step back up plan
step 1 wait!
if that is not working step 2 wait some more.
step 3 go with 2ss vert next summer!
