Stopped using fender covers with my last 'Vette between the scratches and marks spent too much time on the clean up. The wife was extremely pissed when I grabbed on of her Egyptian Cotton towels - what the hell do I know - it was white and made of cotton. I don't know the difference between an Egyptian towel and a Georgia towel.

Had the opportunity to do an engine swap on a 77 Sedan de Ville: 468 BB with a built TH400. Made for a nice around town sleeper with the stock manifolds.

Can't wait to meet you and your crew - the amount of knowledge and experience must be staggering. Things will work out!

Installed in December i think. Had approx 9k miles on it. Took a good look at it when we did the iceolator in March. Motor has done well - no oil consumption and has run strong since day one.

Just remembered, guys at the shop always forget to drain the catch can - I drained the can at the oil change at 11k mikes when we went to RP 5w-30 - so what's in the can is 7k miles worth of the can doing it's job. Always run Shell 93 octane in it - I use two high volume stations in the area where a lot of Bikes get gas so the Super is somewhat fresh.

Nice pics...Tracey looks to be very professional compared to the fellas that did mine . Guess we're all in Tracey and Vinces' hands when it comes to the fine tuning.

Yeah how'd you break it in? Curious.

Had 16 miles on the car when I picked it up. Did several controlled 2nd gear pulls from 2k to 5k and back down. Changed fluids then drove as I normally would. Don't think I have ever hit redline but not afraid to lean on it.

Learned that years ago from an "old school" builder. LOL, he taught me about using teflon buttons in pistons - hadn't thought of that in 30 years. Bleeding edge way back when.

Exciting stuff happening at Tracy's. Should be cammed LLTs all over the place before Christmas!

Storms almost always move west this time of year. Takes stronger cold fronts to push them east In the gulf which usually doesn't happen until last half of sept or October. The RNC convention over sensationalized the situation. Once again looking forward to results

You know that moment when something amazing is about to happen on your favorite TV show and the power goes out? That's what I just experienced as I reached page 13 of this epic thread.

I am in Kissimmee, FL. Maybe I can stop by and see the build.

So - I'm at work jammed up and on the phone and a call comes in on the second line - caller ID says "RX Perf". Swell. I can't answer and its going to be an hour before I can get the vmail. I'm thinking "tracy never calls... ", "wonder if there is a problem"...

Finally my call is over and I can listen to the message. It was from Karen (?) at RX. I listened to the message second time and a third. The message goes like a Western Union Telegram - "tracy wanted me to call, he's been out of town. Havent forgot anout you. Cams are in the car. Car is running. Trying to get back on the dyno. He'll probably call you tomorrow."

After a few minutes of smiling I decided to post this reply. "glad everyone is ok. Had visions of car underwater and alligator looking at it for new home. Holy crap!! That's awesome! Can't wait, look forward to call."

Lol, seriously, glad everyone is alright. I have CAMS!!!!
