insufficient switching codes

I have a HP tune with long tubes and am getting a code for insufficient switching in my O2's. Any help would be appreciated.

Insufficient Switching is most commonly a loose connection at the sensor. Crawl up under the car and take apart all the connections leading to the cats (the ones that had to be undone in order to install the LT's) and reconnect them. Clear the code and see if it stays off.

If this doesn't work, then most likely its a bad sensor and you will need to replace it.

I had the same faults with LT's BEFORE my tune. The O2's weren't switching because I was lean in just about every rpm range. The switching faults would always show up for both banks, and would set long before fuel trim faults. For example: I'd clear the faults and drive 300-400 miles before the switching faults would return. If I kept driving, it would take another 200-300 miles before I got fuel trim faults to set. So I would think the issue lies in the tune, especially if you have them for both banks.

I have replaced the O2s and the connections are good. My tuner is very maticulas, and i dont believe the car is lean. I had read somewhere that the sensors could be reprogrammed to open and close more rapidly, he is waiting for a reply from HP. He also said he can tweak the sensors with the sct program.

the car runs good, and is making 376/394 with no major add ons, didnt think that was too bad, just tired of seeing the code.

Mine ran great too...but really ran good with a proper tune. Along with fixing my fuel tables for the increased air flow, some of the o2 sensor faults were turned off. I'm sure somone who knows more about tuning will chime in and help as I don't even pretend to know, just relaying what happened on my own car. I'm not exactly sure which faults need disabled when running LT's, but there are some. Maybe send Kevin at Vengeance racing a PM, or Ted at Janetty.

Corvette Camaro GTO GM Truck Tuner in Tampa

you have to make all your sensor 2 options are converted to report no error. There are 26 codes related to the rear O2 sensors to shut off.

Starting at P0036 and ending with P2276

But if you want to deep dive into your car's PCM you can shut off the SES light and set the codes to 1-MIL on second error so you can see the effects of Evap with tune. It just depends on your level skill.
I should have explained this a little better.

Make sure he doesnt get confused by items that are labeled Bank 2

If your cat less, make your all your sensor 2 read report no error.

Talk to your tuner. If they cant help you Talk to Ted at Jannety. I had the same read and It was the tune. Kept throwing the CEL. Had my tune updated, have not had any issues since.

you don't want to just disable the codes. you want to properly tune your closed loop settings so the o2 sensors are not "confused" by the long tubes. the sensors are mounted further away from the engine and do not heat up properly and do not read the way they expect to with stock manifolds.

proper tune. not bandaids that disable your ability to know when something is actually wrong with your car.

If you increase the switching fuel amount to get the o2's to occilate better. It is in the open/close loop engine section of HP. Also if you have no cats, turn off the cat test in engine diagnostics. This test pulls fuel out.
