If I wasn't in love with my 2010 I'd would have filled out an order form for a 1LE as soon as it was official. Bad@$$ car. Amazing time.

Man... I'm still dissapointed that there were no engine upgrades at all. They could have at least gave it the dry sump LS3 out of the grand sport and the front clapiers from the ZL1... out if the 3 muscle cars... just don't know which one to buy

I would like to order one, but not a big fan of the flat black hood, maybe there will be a delete option, otherwise a very nice camaro.

Buddy it was like 90 degrees in the morning of this run, isn't that enough to show that the 1LE ran in somewhat worse conditions than the competition. Everyone knows how our LS motors suffers when heat kicks in and this bad boy still kicked a$#$#$#. Now imagine when an owner get's their 1LE cammed, LTs. and head moded with tune to say 490 whp, then .

I think the option will be to use a heat gun and peel it off, that's what I would do once it started looking crappy...vinyl wont last long without showing marks/fading.

Why are you guys always finding fault. I am on my second 5th gen SS and still a creakless interior. Nothing makes a noise in my car even with stiff is heck suspension and 14000 hard driven miles since Feb 2012.

My kind of driving! Spinning 4-6K all day long.....
Car looks like it had some stick too! Didn't look too squirrely......looks like he lost concentration though a few times.
Very nice.....

To the folks who want more power.....? Upgrade! that Z06 trans will take 1000hp easy.....but its hard to use that in the turns.

There's a lot of value in the $3500 package....

So a 1SS + 1LE prices out at like $37K....thats a great deal....what if I own 3 GM cars now.....do I get a loyal customer discount?

Becky.....can you order one yet?

I was making a joke.. but there was something creaking in the video . It's a WELL known issue with at least 10-11 MY camaros btw and I have stiff suspension as well... glad to hear your car doesn't have that issue

Correct. And then to top it off the Mustangs weigh less. The Camaro is defying physics laws....which is why Ford Fans are crying

Thar would be nice. However, what do you think that car would cost? That would make the car cost close to a ZL1. If that were the case, why would anyone buy it?

Wow! This is a great video and just a glimpse of a great car. I can understand the Mustang guys getting their underwear in a wad about this especially since the Boss 302 goes for $44k without the dealer markup. Yeah, but if the 1LE even sticks close to the Boss, it's still a win! I'm surprised at the negative comments on this thread...this is great news.

I watched the Camaros put a whoopin on the rest of the field including the Boss 302 at Indianapolis this past Friday in the Continental Tire Challenge race. Camaros came in 1st and 2nd and maybe 4th...don't remember. That used to be a Mustang safe haven but now it looks like the Camaro is the "boss"!

Once these Grand-Am GS teams gets their hands on the 1LE package it's going to be a carnage on every track!

The hood is just a wrap. Have the dealer peel it off before you even leave the lot.

When does the order book open for the 1LE? This car has convinced me to spend my money with GM again. Unless of course dealers try and pull some mark up BS, but I don't see how, the car is not a limited edition, its just a option on top of a SS.

Marking it up would defeat one of it's main objectives....

Affordability.

I would fight to the end with the dealer if I saw them add markups on this car.

That being said, I can't wait to purchase one in the spring of 13'.

Another great addition to, the line up. The Camaro team has done it again. If I had not decided to buy a ZL1, I was going to buy one of these.

Note how fast a car is on any track on any given day, really depends on the driver. As stated before on this forum, most of us can not fully use the cars we have.

Thank you Becky for posting this for us.

And some of us appreciate all tha the Camaro team has done with the card they have been given.

great videos. Were you there? It was awesome. In the Rolex race there was one Mustang and it ran last or second to last with the only Viper as it's only competition for last place.

Well you actually make my point. I am, and always have been, a Camaro enthusiast. I had never heard of the 1LE tag til THIS car.

I've NEVER been a Mustang guy. I've heard of the Boss and all the rest.

My point is that the names bring attention and memory. The numbers don't.

Shelby, Cobra, Boss.

ZL1, 1LE, Z28.

Only the Z28 is common on the Camaro side.

Ask 100 random people what a Shelby, Cobra, or Boss is and I'll bet you get 85 people who know. Do the same with ZL1, 1LE and leave out the Z28 and I'll bet you MIGHT get 15 that know.

In fact, I've yet to talk to a non-Camaro person who had any recollection of EITHER ZL1 or 1LE. Not a single one. Heck, the ZL1 I had to reach for having ever heard of it.

That's really my only point. If the idea is to sell Camaros to Camaro enthusiasts then, hey, great. It might work. If the idea is to sell Camaros to Camaro enthusiasts AND non-enthusiasts then I think they will sell a few less cars. Give it an appropriate name and it would get more ambient attention from non-enthusiasts.

Topic for another thread though.

Ask a Corvette Person about a ZL1, Specifically a C3 fan

The thing about the 1LE is that it's just an option on the SS, it's not really a new model.
