ZL1 Throttle body options.
I know we can use the LS7 and LS3 throttle bodies, but are there any better options. A while back I remember seeing a couple different ones here on the site, but now I cant find them for the life of me. I knew I should have put them on my favorites, but I didnt think I would have trouble finding them.
Anyone know what what they are?

We offer the VMax CNC version with great results.
Remeber, the ZL1 is a 87mm and the LS3 a 90 mm so the snout must be ported for the bigger unit. |

I run the Nick Williams 102.
The 90 works on the stock snout and we picked up 17 RWHP. No porting is required but you must port for the 102 or the blade will not open. |

I will have a ported snout, but I don't want to upgrade the fuel injectors just yet.
My future mods will be ported snouth, trottle body, cai and smaller pulley. Think I'll be able to stik with the stock injectors for this mods? I may go bigger in the future, but at least for 2012 these are all the mods I will do. lol

You will be right at the limit of the stoxk injectors depending on afr commanded. 540-560 rwhp on an auto and they are done.

I'm planning on new throttle body, cai, tune, and headers and exhaust when they become available. That should pick me up quite a good bit at the rear wheels.

The snout is a big time restriction. Even with a stock tb it should get ported.

Tpis 102 has been proven, will not close under high boost levels by getting sucked shut. Of coarse need a ported about to make work.

your ls6 is plastic..pull the tb off your zl.. to make the 102 fit you have to machine all the way back BEHIND the groove for the o ring... easy on a mill, kinda after a hour of setup, then a hour of hand finishing for me, but it would take FOREVER to do it by hand.. its A LOT of metal to move.. look in my blower thread, i think there is a pic in there..

So you could use a LS3 90 with no mods? What gains are we talking about? Tune required?
