Plug and Play audio system for 2SS

So, I have been thinking about upgrading my car stereo. I have seen too many options, also too many problems and issues.
Now, my question is, Is there a plug and play head unit that is a direct replace with the appropiate adapter????
I am really looking forward for it before replacing mine.
I don't want to mess up the OEM cables and splicing.

Thanks for your input!!!!

Sorry, no plug and play but there are a couple of plug-and-pray products.

You will need a Metra or Alpine adapter and both have their issues. The Metra is ugly, it has quailty issues (display fails), display readability is poor, fitment is poor but the firmware works good.

The Alpine has an oversized display that blocks view to the gauges, glitchy firmware and a ton of quality issues. So your choice is "just ok" or "total crap."

I chose the Metra but need to replace it because two of the three colors have failed. Sorry to post from a negative point of view but, I'm just giving my honest opinion. I won't recommend either product.

I will have to respectfully disagree with Drifter. I have the Scosche kit (basically same as the Alpine) and I have had no trouble out of mine. I have taken it in and out a couple of times (replaced my JBL MS-8 with the RF 3Sixty.3) and it seems to have handled it perfectly.

There are plenty of reported issues with all of the kits, but the internet is where everyone comes to complain, and only a few come to provide positive feedback. Just like if you go to the convertible forums you would think that most of the convertible Camaro's that GM has made are terrible. I'd be willing to bet that there are tons of happy convertible owners out there - probably a lot more than come to complain about them here.

Thanks for the feedback!!! I have heard several complaints about the Metra-Kit, and good comments about the Scosche kit, so I have an idea on what to buy!!!
