no, CGM has been discontinued because they can't make anymore of the correct paint recipe

That's why I posted the pictures of my car/grill. You're looking at the same angles there. I am pretty sure they didn't paint his grill CGM.

It still looks good though.

Chevy discontinued CGM, but I know some local painters that have gotten it. But, I'm not sure GM is painting parts that color anymore.

Oh, i'll scrutinize every little detail, but this was very obvious. The grill came painted like this from gm so this was their doing. I imagine...if i want it to match, im going to have to go to a local painter. The good news is that i like how its different...so im good. But, i am concerned about future paint done by gm if i need. I dont want a mis match frankenstein lookin car.

Did you order a CGM grill though?

(I think it looks good like it is too.)

My CGM heritage grill matches my car perfectly.
I very much believe it could be ashen gray. Either that, or there's two different formulas going around for CGM. This is not the first time I've seen this drastic comparison. Ask Scott about the ZR1 Vette GM had which was making the rounds at the car shows. Ask about the repainted hood. HOLY CRAP was it off....

I thought it could be the angles too. But, I quickly learned this was not the case. Sad, but it's true. GM needs to get their crap together with the CGM mixture.

Right now, just hoping. But, I can say I'm 99.99999% sure this is what it is. It has to be. We pinpointed it to the rear shaft area or brake caliper area. After reading the experiences everyone else was having, finding the range of cars it was happening to and who's had it happen to, I know it has to be this. It just makes sense. If not, GM bought me two washers and two bolts. But, I'm sure. It's going in the shop next week as the parts should have shown up today.

.....I hope.....

Well, I'm a possitive thinker so I believe you got it. It'll be nice for you to have it gone. Was for my noises. And you've had it for so long.

have you not listened to a word i said about the CGM paint discrepancy?
that's what i went through when trying to paint half my car with the original CGM - we ended up having to make our own close in-house mixture
