Sunday/Monday but Glen's family and our family are headed to Shlitterbahn one last day before school starts on Sunday. Gonna let the kiddos (ahem...and grown ups) have one last fun day before getting back to the grind.

I think Monday is labor day and Glen's shop will be closed.

I can check the book and see what days are open this week. I'll call you and maybe I can get a day. I'd LOVE to do this!

Waiting to see if we can get in on Sat to get these supercars installed. If we can get in earlier in the week with Pete somewhere, I'm game!

Sweet! Heading out to Pedders tomorrow. Supercars going on and XA's coming off.

Parts on the way from Ofer.

Parts on the way from Maureen.

I think I need to take a break after this and save for that elusive supercharger....lol

NO blowers. No extra front end weight.

It's ok. I have the rear end weight in that huge speaker box with the heavy JL 10" and three amps to balance it out.

Did you get your windshield replaced? Safelite came out yesterday, but brought a V6 one. They'll have to come back next week.

Yep. Easy swap. Nice to have a perfectly clear windshield again! lol

It wasn't identical to the original. No biggie...but the upper center dots were just that....dots. Not solid. But, imo, it looks better.

Also did a pretty sweet install with Pete out at the Pedders shop on Thursday with the supercars. I told Pete the real test was going to be the drive to and from my work. THE ROAD SUCKS.... Drove it a few times and now yessir....supercars make a difference FOR SURE.

It's hard to explain. But yes....smooooother ride. The car hits and takes the bumps, but just doesn't hit those bumps as hard as before. I still have to play with the settings a bit...full soft, full hard, back and forth. But the difference is night and day. And if I can install them myself, ANYONE CAN!!!

LOVE the supercars!!!

And thank you, Pete!

Where did you get all that done? My front bumper needs a "makeover" from all the nicks over these 4 years.

For something like that, I'd suggest going to Jack's Paint Place out in Converse. Ask for John when you call and tell him I sent you over there...SACC, etc. John paints all of our cars and parts. He's damn good at his work.

But if you are interested in the opticoat, you need to talk to Jay Oliva from Jay's Detail off Nakoma and 281. LMK if you want his #.

Yep. They do excellent work. As soon as we get the Tahoe, we'll be heading to Jays for Opticoat. ...and the only place we go for paint/bodywork is Jacks.

Now...if I can only hook up with Lupe for that new center console...

I'd go with Silver to match your stripes...Good luck with Lupe. He's rejected me a few times lately because he's been so damn busy!! I totally understand that!

Got the power steering pump changed out today. Had about a 1/2" of play in the pulley. Was going to go soon...

Also found out the noise which I THOUGHT was my power steering pump was actually my pilot bearing going out. SUPER. JUST what I had hoped for.......

So I'm looking for a new clutch. Think I might go with a Monster LT1-S clutch which is basically the C7 clutch with an improved and lighter flywheel. Not sure and haven't made a final decision yet, but need to asap. This is my daily driver...gets me to and from work and I need it back together asap.

Anyone else out there know of any inexpensive clutch upgrades that would work for my car? I MUST have street ability... And it should hold power should I do decide to go with some boost in the future. Any recommendations would be welcomed!

Just saying...

I ended up with the center force dyad something-or- other. It's been fine, great street manners. Little chatter when it was new, but not bad. Almost gone now 2k miles later.

Ouch! That's a lot of dough! The LT1-S is going for something like $940...ish. I haven't even looked at prices for the streetslayer's yet.

Yeah. Sucked buying 2 clutches within a week. But stuff happens.

The slayer is supposed to be the best. Basically have to wait a month to get one though.
