Question HP and Drag reliability

Just curious to know and find out, at what point do you start to worry about things breaking on your car from the strip. Is there a magic number you want to start beefing things up like axles and drive shafts?

Is there a different hp number you want to be careful of going over between a A6 and M6??

Only reason I ask is because I have a SS Vert A6, I've currently got installed Cold intake, Tune, exhaust, and this week getting a LT's and LS3 cam swap to maker her a LS3 motor.

A6 can handle some pretty decent power. The A6 is easier on parts (axles, driveshafts, etc) than the LS3 M6.

You mentioned an "LS3 cam swap." Do you plan on doing an LS3 conversion with an aftermarket cam? Or use an LS3 Cam?

Just wondering. I wouldn't suggest putting an LS3 cam in your car, because the HP gains would be very small for your money.

But there are lots of aftermarket cams that make excellent power. Some require the LS3 conversion and some don't. I know several guys that went with VVT cams that are making excellent power.

Autos are MUCH easier on the driveline then manuals since everything is preloaded.

Yes I'm doing a LS3 conversion with aftermarket "custom" grind. Really looking forward to her on once she's done Thursday
