Affordable double din?

I have the scosche kit en route now looking for a headunit, but due to other mods in the works my budget is slightly restrained per household 6 ( c'mon military guys, you got me lol).

So I'm looking for a 6.1 inch but prefer 7 inch LCD with nav and backup camera capability that will not break the banks.

Thanks guys for the help.

I think this could be right up your alley - JVC KW-NT300 - 6.1" screen, navigation, rear camera input, 13-band EQ(jus sayin) - all for only $580 (can probably get it cheaper elsewhere).

I have been looking at the TD718A ($400)
runs android
the only thing it is missing is SiriusXM
but i think you can still get it to stream
and i think it requires internet though your phone.

Just got a Pioneer AVIC D3 and Metra for a couple hundred from a member. Maybe go the used route and save a little. Good luck Birm, I know you gotta make the military pay stretch a ways.

Thoughts on this one? Pioneer AVH-P4400BH ??

I am not going to spend the extra 400$ to give it nav but wanted to see what you guys thought of it standalone and possibly using my nav apps?

The Pioneer AVH-P4400BH was the first one that came to mind for me when I read your initial post. Great stereo without breaking the bank and you still get the larger screen. It would work with Navigon MobileNavigator and Motion X GPS in app mode if you have an iPhone.

Well, I have the AVH-P8400BH and I love it. I only suggested the JVC because I thought you wanted navigation standard.

I don't know if the 4400 has dual USB, but I love that my 8400 does. It allows me to have 2 iPod's hooked up. Or, I can use an iPod and a USB stick, or 2 sticks, etc.

And, my back up camera. It's the most unobtrusive one I have found. If you're not looking for it, you never notice it.

Awesome!! Thanks so much man, you just made my decision very VERY easy Amazon has this unit for 507$ Which looks like a pretty sweet deal.

Any adapters I need, like for Sirius (since i have a 2yr subscription allready) or anything else?

Thanks again man, seriously.

I actually bought mine from Amazon for $509. I have not regretted it once.

If you want to run Sirius, you'll need the Pioneer CD-SB10 and SIRIUS SC-C1 adapters. If you want XM, you'll need the Pioneer GEX-P920XM tuner. Those cost about $130 for the Sirius kit, and $100 for the XM tuner.

Thanks! The radio portion looks good, by my trunk is a terrible mess. It will get fixed soon though.

My camera is the Crimestopper SV-6818.EM. I got it for $40 shipped. It is the lowest profile camera I found. I was looking at a 2012 ZL1 tonight at a local stealership and this camera is actually lower profile than the stock camera. I love the appearance. I'm about to go start a camera thread now since it looks like there is interest in the camera and it's function.

Good idea. I agree, it looks really good and is barely noticeable. Was just curious since I hadn't seen that one on the market. Thanks for the info.
