How often do you change your oil?
Having never owned a car with an oil life guage, I'm new to the whole not changing the oil after x amount of miles. Reading the manual it said the car could go a year or more without having the oil changed, though you should change it and the filter every year.
So do I change my oil per the norm or listen to my oil life guage? What say ye? |

You will hear a multitude of opinions on this. I say just follow the owner's manual.

I did the first oil change around 1500 miles and the second change was about 4500. Now I do changes every 5000-6000 miles. Is it a waste of money to do changes at less than 6000? General consensus says yes....
