I'm in Maryland, which dealership had the ZL1. I have search dealer inventory several time and unable to find one within 400 miles. You know if it was an automatic? color? year 2013?

Sounds good, Looking for any feedback from anyone else who has installed ZL1 springs on an SS. The price is right for sure.... Bump stops anyone trimming them with the ZL1 spring install. Other lowering springs in the 1.25 range are instructing you to trim off an inch ( PFADT)

The two photos of the springs out of the car (V6 on the right, ZL1 on the left) so you can see the difference.

I used to be able to fit 4 fingers in the wheel well from the top of the tire to the top of the fender, now it's hard to fit 2 fingers in.

Looks so much better now
Any updates now that you've had a few months to drive it?

Have you timed the bushes?

When you lowered your car the alignment changed. It should be aligned at the new ride height after the bushes are timed.

Timed mine on the new car but didnt on the old car, same springs. Only difference was the shocks and no difference whether timed bushes or not.I hear they" reset" in about 5 miles anyway.

All the suspension rubber bushings all the movable parts in the suspension mount with. When you lower, or raise a car they are said to twist or in a way preload if not lossened to be allowed to rotate to their new correct position. If the bolts are loosened so they can rotate to the new ride height position, then retighten the bolts, they will be in the correct spot, last longer as no preload is on them and they wont shear or wear badly, and the ride is better by a little bit.

Bump for a pretty cool mod. After reading this thread back in December. I found a set of ZL1 springs for $185 shipped and had them installed around the first week in February. LOVE THEM! Professionaly installed ,bushings timed ,and realinged. The car corners like it's on rails. Very firm, very little roll. The only thing different I have found is my car only dropped 20mm or 3/4 of an inch. Which I like, but want to inform others thinking that because the springs are just over an inch shorter, the car would drop that much. I'm no expert, and my mechanics agrees that the ZL1 springs are stiffer than the ls springs. Like I said ,Great Thread/Mod.
