Fuse pull with new exhaust?
Received and installed my MRT V2 exhaust today and all I can say is, "That's more like it!". I am as happy as can be but I have one quick question. Is it necessary to do a fuse pull with the new exhaust like I did with my CAI. Actually I just pulled the battery cable with the CAI, same thing right?

Yep, same thing but not necessary with exhaust (IMHO).

Thanks for the quick reply. I didn't think it was necessary but I wanted to be sure.

Nah…you don't need to do it when installing just an axle or cat back exhaust.

What if axle back, CAI , throttle body, black ice? I have the trifecta tune as well.
Thanks

been out of the v6 community for a while, but i thought the fuse pull was useless on the v6?

Not necessary, but disconnecting the battery for the throttle body and black Ice will get rid of the cels

What effect would a muffler delete have on any of the computer systems? It could just be me but it feels like the car is holding the gears a little longer than normal (auto)

I think it is just another alternative to disconnecting the battery. Atleast that is what I was told lol

If you are talking about the fuse pull for LTFTs then you are correct. Useless for a v6. However if you add a new bolt on its generally a good idea. Takes off some of the time it takes for the computer to adapt to the new part. But I doubt it matters with exhaust. I did it with my LT headers and Vararam though.

What about doing headers? I didn't have to do it for my ARK-DTS, intake manifold insulator, or CAI, should I do it when installing my DT shorties ? Heard they never give a cel but is that ony when you disconnect the battery? Or fuse pull? Or nothin? Thanks

For such minor things the computer will relearn. The ecu is always "learning." Also if you have Trifecta, every time you load in a tune it resets the ecu's "learning."

As most have said not necessary, but I do it with any engine/exhaust mod. Cannot hurt and can only speed up the learning process.
