I was just wondering......
Is there any ZL1 owners out there that are happy with their ZL1? I mean after all, with the countless threads and posts of how bad the ZL1 does in the 1/4 mile, and even though all the mags picked the ZL1 as the better car even though the GT500 is faster. And how all the "experts"(
) are telling us how bad the car sucks and how bad the trap times are,and how much better the GT 500 is......how could I still be in love with my slow heavy piece of crap. .......... WELL, I AM!!!!!! I LOVE MY CAR, I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT MY CAR!!!!! I used to drag race a lot when I was younger and Ive had MANY fast cars.Ive had faster cars in the 1/4 mile(87 Buick,Grand National - 10.86 with drag radials!!) My ZL1 has not been raced, and will never see the track. To all the GT500 lovers out there... I love this car as well, Id love to be able to have one sitting right next to my ZL1!! Anyway, I just wanted to see if there were any other ZL1 owners out there who still love their car. Because God knows,if you read many of the posts on this site,it would sure be hard to tell. All I know is that I LOVE MINE!!!![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I'm friggin ecstatic about this car. It's to the point when I do drive my SS now, I really don't enjoy it.
I don't give a crap about tracking or track times. I use mine for pleasure driving, going from point A to point B (taking the scenic route of course) ... There is nothing I don't like about the Z, and this car is a beast from a 45 roll.

Agreed, all the way. You know, from what the magazines say, a Lamborghini Aventador is faster in a quarter-mile than the GT500...
![]() It might not be the fastest thing out there, but I haven't had a single passenger that didn't outright gasp and get the deer-in-headights look when I floor it, much less the dents in my door handles when I fling it enthusiastically (maybe a little too...nah) around a corner. To go faster in a stright line all you need is more power or less weight or a combination of both, combined with a nice amount of more cash. ![]() The only thing I regret is not being able to buy one sooner. |

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, I'll put my ZL1 up against any car made today. May not be the fastest, etc. For the most beautiful, best all around car that does everything well? It's the ZL1!!

Even though the articles keep comparing The ZL1 to the Ford....there is NO comparison to me or my husband, in our opinions. My husband has owned 3 Camaro's over the years and other than the '72 Challenger he had when he was 20, he has preferred Chevy products over any other muscle car! We even owned a Mustang Cobra for a few years, but it just didn't give us that feeling we have with the ZL1 now. We love this car, the design, the power, the look and feel of it is superb! And the sound - I keep referencing the Fox News review about this car - the "epic burble"!!!! I love the way it sounds idling and shifting the gears, it has not disappointed me at all. People look at it in passing and you can see them turning their head around trying to see another glimpse of "what was that" that just passed me. Anyway, I could rave about every part of this car all day long....I too love this car. Let'em keep comparing, who cares?! We know what we have and we know what we like!!
ZL1 Heaven.... And I wish we had 2 in the garage...his and hers! |

Love my Z. It's everything expected and...
There is really nothing slow about a 12 second car. It's a challenge to stay under any speed limit with the power and quickness it has, stock. |

If anyone likes Camaros, they'll love the ZL1. It really is distinguished from the SS, but it should be, since it has a higher price. It rides and handles better than anyone probably expected it to.

I took mine to work this morning, and it was finally not 100% humidity. Nice and cool when I punched it and holy hell I hit 110 in a blink of an eye! Best money I ever spent!!

I don't even have possesion of mine yet (any day now) and I love it more than life itself. I've never been more excited about anything in my entire 44 years of life.

I absolutely love my ZL1! It handles great, it looks mean and it gets the stares every where I go. It has been and will remain the best and most technologically equipped car I have ever owned.

I have 4100 mi. on mine, and every one has been a pleasure.
The car is great, every day I get home from work my ten year old son says dad can we go for a ride. He wants the nannies off and wants me to paddle shift...why... well I'll tell ya, add a Airaid cai, 90mm ported tb, and have it tuned ( mine by Torq perf. ) and OMG .That's all it really needs and the reliability is still there. I can floor it if you want to throw some smoke, run it to about 5500 rpm's tap shift and it will lay some more rubber, then 5500 rpm's again and will get you a good hard chirp in 3rd. the power increase is unbelieveable, just those small mods will net you around 660 base hp and you can deffinately notice the diff. I LOVE IT, MY SON LOVES IT, MY WIFE IS SCARED OF IT. EVERYONE THAT HAS BEEN FOR A RIDE LOVES IT. EVERYONE THAT SEE'S IT LOVES IT. HELL WHAT'S NOT TO LOVE. |
